$1600 in Australia so it's $250 difference.

If you are purchasing the camera together with other items, we may be able to give more discounts.
Please feel free to contact our Sales Team at [email protected] for more information.Rep, will this also incur GST and Customs Duty as it enters the country?
The rule is if it's over $1000 you get billed Gst plus some extra fees on top. If postage pushes it over $1000 you are usually fine but no gurantee
That's what I figured, and if the $1359.05 is plus GST, that's sending the price near $1500 which is a ridiculous price for HK stock!
@thelastnoob: That actually makes this grey import more expensive than the cheapest local stock.
hey rep any deal on LG v10?

I guess this camera will finally drop to $800 after 1 year.
why is this so expensive, is this the successor to the a6000?
Yes. Because it's almost as good as the A7
but its with a cropped sensor, i can't see how they can demand such a price for a apsc senor
The rx100 iv was retailing here for $1400 and didn't offer much above the mk 3 aside from 4K and slo motion
The Aussie dollar has failed that's why the price of iPhone 6 Plus 64gb was $1100 upon release but 11 months later was over $1300
This camera will sell very well regardless due to improvements
There are people who don't want the bulk and heft of a full-frame camera. This, along with e-mount lenses, will be smaller and lighter than an A7 with fe-mount lenses.
What's more important than having a FF sensor is being able to use the camera well. There are plenty of people who take spectacular images with a cropped-sensor camera.
Nikon's new D500 APS-C camera is around $3000….
Sony A7M2 is approximately $1400 when it is on sale. I personally believe that a full frame camera is far better than an APS-C camera of the same price. Yes, the a6300 is a new model and has a few new features, but most of us might only use the basic functions. If you are keen to use advanced features, why not save more money for A7R2?
The A6300 is smaller and lighter, has faster AF, much faster continuous shooting, records 4K XAVC-S 100Mbps video, smoother EVF, built-in flash, and silent shutter mode.
The A7II has IBIS, a FF sensor, headphone output, an extra control dial, and extra custom buttons.
So "better" really depends on how you use the camera and what features you find useful. I wouldn't say the A7II is necessarily better than the A6300. They're both good cameras - they're just for different usage scenarios.
A Sony A7M2 for $1400 … where ??? Was there a deal I missed … didn't see that cheap price yet.
Yes, you are absolutely right. But as I said, that was just my personal opinion. Given the same price and limited budget, I would choose the full frame camera with IBIS rather than the APS-C one with lots of tempting features. If there is a photographer seeking for higher reliability, better image quality and more advanced features, then the portability, built-in flash and silent shutter mode might be the last things he would consider about.
ps. A6300 is really a good camera, but I think it is over-priced.
Agreed
For me portability would be very important. I own mostly Canon 5DIII and lots of heavy lenses … so a great smaller camera is very tempting. The size/weight difference is not that much and you stay flexible when you buy the full format E mount lenses. I think it depends what you want/need.
Not worth the risk. Just pay the extra $90 for local stock incase anything goes wrong. And dont you have to pay 10% import fee with this because its from overseas?
