I prefer playing single player anyway so am not too concerned with people "cheating" on multiplayer.
Rarely find players like that nowadays. Just hit the leave lobby game and you are fine. Payday 2 is designed for multiplayer :)
As a Day 1 player, I uninstalled and will never return.
In what way do you lose? It's co-op game… I've been playing this game for a while and throughout that weapon skin saga game play was the same and the pay-to-win aspect wasn't even there. It honestly was a few percentages increase on things like accuracy or ammo capacity which is barely even noticeable. Doesn't make the game easier or harder.
The only real issue people were complaining was about is that the devs had promised they will never adopt micro transactions/weapon skins (which they did after) and the reward for buying an optional dlc to support the devs was crap. That does not make the game-play bad in any way and I think people should understand that no one is making buy skins or crap dlcs. I always use the base weapons even though I own most of the dlcs.
The Payday developers really pissed of the Xbox community.
They basically released a broken game, wouldn't fix it (for months), then blamed the Xbox community for not purchasing the game on PC. Whilst this didn't affect PC players, it shows the attitude of the devs.
When did they add any sort of vs mode? It was always just co-op
Hows the game as a singleplayer?
AI is pretty idiotic, so multi is better. and the community is great, like you might expect of a coop game.

I recall a big kurfuffle about this game essentially becoming pay-to-win a few months ago. If you don't buy the in game purchases you're likely to constantly lose to people who do, was the complaint going round.
No personal experience with it whatsoever and there was such a big backlash that I wouldn't be surprised if they changed it.
