    • oh my god ive resisted SSD deals until now waiting for sub $300aud for 1tb prices, i have no excuse anymore…must resist!

are there new models coming out or something?

  • so which currency should we use to get the best value?

Pay with a 28degree master card and pay in Euro.

  • bought two 480 by paying euro total Aud$290
    gonna upgrade parent's computers
    thank you op

User benchmarks if anyone is interested, http://ssd.userbenchmark.com/SanDisk-Ultra-II-480GB/Rating/3… seems average.

It's a cheap but massive upgrade from a normal HDD. Even if it's very mediocre for an SSD

  • Anyone with experience running these drives over USB 3? Considering buying one to run VMs off of to spare the space on internal drives.

Biggest thing I have found is the enclosure you use. Some are rubbish with speed, heat up far too much, others give excellent results.

I have VM's on a mSATA with a MyDigitalSSD enclosure ($16USD on Amazon) and it's 500MB/s+ both ways and never gets hot or slow. Previous ones I tried would get slower and slower as it got hotter and hotter and crash. So couldn't even migrate the VMs across on to the drive.

  • i got $277 paying by amex, is that right?

    • +3

The conversion of $263 is for fee free cards such as 28 degrees, amex charges a currency conversion fee so it'll be higher.

      • ahh coolios

still decent price so got one

  • Wow insane price for 960GB

  • The 480GB price is $10 cheaper than the last deal they had. Must grab price IMO.

You're on fire Lyl with the last couple of posts!

Shame there wasn't more love for Milo one.

  • im gona have to pull the trigger on 2 of these i think,.. they are too cheap and ill be going a full SSD build for my next pc.

  • Nobody is mentioning the french.
    Either,

    1) Everybody knows french
    2) Everybody knows how to change the language.

Me, none of the above (used google translate). If the SSD arrives successfully I should feel extra proud.

      Le SSD

    • If you're using Chrome it will either do it automatically, or ask if you want it done. Not particularly strenuous haha

    • Just press the buttons

    • Chrome did not do it for me, neither did it ask =(

Wasn't strenuous, just semi annoying haha.

  • ssd arrived with the cheapest shipping so quite happy :D

how does warranty go with this? australian service centre or ship back to france?
