20% off All Store Stock at Supercheap Auto
No much better unfortunately…
Try
20% off All Stock excl. gift cards @ Supercheap Auto (instore only)
or something similar…
I read it that online orders are ok as they usually are for these events:-
*Excludes gift cards and non-stock products ordered in-store or through Parts Guide,
In other words, if it's in stock at your preferred store, then order online etc.
This is normal for Supercheap and indeed I usually order online during these events to pickup a few days later when it's not busy.
My emails title was "20% off all store stock this Saturday + Club Specials" from SCA. Click and collect (providing there's stock) would work as it has in the past with these 20-30% off deals.
Why not just purchase today or tomorrow, and then get club credit back because of the price drop?
I realize there is a 28 day limit before club credit evaporates. But buy something today, get the price-drop credits on Saturday, and spend the credits on Saturday. I am assuming the credits will be issued Saturday morning - anyone know how quickly they appear?
I've had the credits posted at the midnight of the sale ie no time left to take advantage of the 20% off.
I've been waiting for this sale, noticed my local has some shocks for my car (which is a rare model) so I've wanted to snap them up for 20% off ;)
I don't think stores will be open tomorrow being Good Friday.
I just checked, my local store says "Fri, 25 Mar 2016 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM" under the "SPECIAL TRADING HOURS" section. So at least some of the stores are open on Good Friday.
because that just means you get store credit and have to find something else to buy. also, that's two trips to the store to stand in a queue.
good if you're always buying stuff from SCA. i don't, and only shop there if there's at least a 20% off discount on whatever i want to buy.
have to find something else to buy
That's okay for me, I'm looking to buy a car battery today, and I'll get some two-stroke oil for the lawnmower with the credits.
two trips to the store to stand in a queue.
For me, it's easy to drop in on my way to/from work, only a small detour. I do take your point about the queues, but it's normally pretty good on Thursday evening (the local late-night shopping night).
Edit: looking at the price of car batteries, it looks like I'll get about $28 of credit back, that's a lot of two-stroke oil. Anyone have suggestions for something else that's non-perishable, and likely to be used? I don't need any car parts or tools, so that eliminates most of the store.
demineralised or distilled water. i go through quite a bit because i use it in my windscreen washer tank rather than tap water which puts water spots everywhere.
i also like those armorall wipes
bloody hell, I bought a new battery like 14 days ago today, too late for the club cash back :(
Buy another, refund on old receipt
That's bloody genius
Can you return batteries though?
Yep.
isn't that fraud?
Mate, you're a storyteller, you should know better lol
one of the Club Plus exclusive specials is 50% off Duplicolor custom wrap. it's pretty much the same as plasti-dip. current $29.99 each or 2 for $40

How easy are they to apply and how many cans do you require for station wagon?
they're aerosols so easy enough to apply, but i've only ever done just my wheels, and with around 6 coats on each wheel, i used around 4 cans. bought 5 cans just in case i stuffed up the first time, which i inevitably did.
for your whole wagon, you're looking at LOTS of cans (and probably lots of pain in your hands after!). check out this reddit thread, first and best reply: https://www.reddit.com/r/plastidip/comments/2vm8sw/plastidip…
for decent, even coverage, something like 58 cans, which at $15 each will cost around $870. probably factor in an extra can or two for touch-ups/fix-ups. if that hasn't put you off yet, might i recommend a "can gun" to make the job slightly less painful ;)
Thanks OP. Will stock up on some oil that rarely go on sale!
Checking online, they have jacked prices today.
Which product or products? I just bought a car battery from them, the shelf price was the same as it has been for several months ($142).
kenco degreaser 6lt, was $16.something yesterday.
I see that is currently $16.79 on Supercheap's Ebay store, marked as "40% off".
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/like/201479445508?limghlpsr=true&…
If it was that price in-store yesterday, then I guess they have dropped all of their previous in-store discounts and are only applying the store-wide 20% discount.
So it has gone from a 40% discount yesterday (but still available on Ebay at that discount) to 20% discount in-store today. The deal does say the 20% discount is a "discount off regular retail price", but do they normally sell it at 40% off?
It's hard to know whether to criticise Supercheap in this case. They obviously didn't want the two discounts to stack, but I can't see any other way they could stop the discounts from stacking - other than an exclusions list, which we would then criticize.
@Russ:
Well thought out, I never checked the ebay store.
Don't forget you can buy super Cheap auto gift cards from woolworths. Using an egift card from cash rewards, that's 5% off gift card. Using 10% off bigw card from the deal a few weeks ago, I got my purchase 10% off the 20% off price.
Aren't there limitations on doing that, like "not supposed to buy a gift card with a gift card"? How do you get around the limitation - does it only work at the self-checkouts, or do the staff not notice?
You can do specific value cards at self checkout.
maybe it's just WA, but i could only purchase $50 and $100 sca gift cards at woolies.
