I forgot your Google was broken so let me help - the Q2000 is bigger and cooks more at the same time.
My google is broken too. Can you explain difference between Q2000 white and Q2000 black?
No.
The black is more slimming
The size of the BBQ. The Q3000 also comes with a stand that can't be detached. The Q2000 is a little smaller and doesn't come with a stand. I was tossing up between the 2000 and 3000 and ended up with the 3000 because of the stand and it being slightly bigger.
The Q3000 also has two burners and two grills, so you can cook eggs etc on a flat plate while doing steak on the other grill.
Flat plate needs to be bought seperately though but it is great! Very easy to use
FWIW: they can all have a half hotplate.
Is there a reason you went with a Webber? Aren't they fairly expensive given that they're just a barbie - and a fairly small one at that? Aren't there other small BBQ options? Just asking as I'm soon going to be in the market for something small to fit on an apartment balcony. Thanks :)
Consumable costs, these things are very efficient and also produce great food. They also last forever. When I had the Q300 I was spending $20 every 5 months on gas, using almost every night.
Consumable costs
But the consumable is just gas. Which is the same for all BBQs.
and also produce great food.
A barbie is pretty low-fi - gas is set alight, which heats a piece of metal, which you then cook things on. You can produce great food on a $2 frying pan from Target, but it might not be particularly enjoyable, or last you more than a week.
I guess this is my question - are there no cheaper alternatives for a device that heats a piece of metal up so you can cook on it, that are roughly equivalent in terms of size, durability etc?
I bought a webber q when they were 15% off last time. I don't know why but the food just cooks better on them. Maybe it's because you cook with the lid down. My steaks have never tasted better.
@Beast:
^this. To anyone wondering if they should take the plunge, try a pork roast from the q…. Anytime I wonder if it was worth it I grab a slab of pork and fix my concern lol.
Im not sure if these are different (i have a 320) but the only problem is you set the temp for the whole bbq. You cant do different temps left/right.
Cooking snags and marinated chicken takes practice, and to do a perfect steaks you need this beast hot, so it takes planning when preparing for more than one.
Another problem - steaks at the majority of restaurants, friends, family will be a real disappointment. You will yearn for your own piece of meat at home haha
Gas all the same - well no. It all comes down to the efficiency of the unit, what they do with the heat, this is why the Webern shine. Compared to a six burner BBQ, a Q300 will cook the same amount of food, in a quicker time, using 1/4 the gas.
They also do roasts well as mentioned, and with the addition of a stone, great pizzas.
This deal is cheaper isnt it ??

If only Myer sells the natural gas versions
already beaten by the masters price drop this week, not including the additional 10% you can get for signing up to the masters newsletter.
masters do a price match with 10% price beat i believe?
still too much for my blood to be honest.
Worth every cent in my opinion. I have the BabyQ and the Family Q. Amazing units.
Anyone care to explain why this thing costs so much? Just a piece of steel, no hi-tech
Kind of the Iphone of bbq
lol.
We have a natural gas 3000, really happy. Cooks much more evenly and faster than our old four burner. I like the stand too. Also it is a bit bigger than the 2000 and has natural gas.
All Bbqs are not the same, Athough apprehensive, I recently bought a Weber Q 1000, Amazed at just how good it cooks. Perfect steaks, as well as pork and chicken roasts…. in one word…. Recommended
What is the main difference between all the models?
