  Well they are the same NiMH, but they are only 1300mAh so no wonder they charge fast (if 4 hrs is fast). Stick with what the above said.

  Duracell are very cagey about saying how the charge is terminated. They just say it has "charge termination" as a safety feature, and that "Thermistor is used to monitor Battery temperature from getting above 60C".

  I doubt this is a smart charger, if it was they'd explicitly state -dV/dT charge termination. Can't say I'm surprised, it isn't in their interests for the batteries to last a long time.
