I was advised by a friend that Bunnings in Belconnen, ACT are giving away free hot cross buns today, 3 April 2010. I am not sure if this applies to other Bunnings stores. ETA: It looks like this is nationwide.

I saw tables full of hot cross buns at the Oxley store QLD this morning. There was an announcement about something free. I guess that’s what it was.

I got mine. Yes. There were chocolate and fruit ones. The staff pre-buttered them too.

Yeah the Belconnen store had 2400 hot cross buns from Baker's Delight, so not cheap stingy one's either.

Bunnings at Rockdale NSW had them at 9am this morning. Not sure if it was all day or until they ran out. Yum, chocolate chip hot cross buns :)
