EVGA GeForce GTX970 4GB ACX Dual Fan $395.07 delivered, bargain?

Is $395.07 delivered currently a bargain for this EVGA GeForce GTX970 4GB ACX Dual Fan PCI-E 3.0 Video card? From this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/239313.

I am tempted partly because the GTX970 is listed as a minimum/recommended type of graphics card required for the soon to be shipping Oculus Rift consumer version as an option if I decide/manage to try/buy one.

It appears to be the cheapest I can find this type of card but I hesitated yesterday after adding to my cart and applying the 10% off code and did not complete the purchase but I received an email today offering: "We've saved your order for a limited time" and when I click on it the price remains discounted so the code is either still working or the discount still applies to my saved order "for a limited time".

    i suggest that a minimum GPU for a game is too underpowered to actually enjoy the game

      Sure but the next step up is a significant increase in price that I can't justify at this stage just for the option to try Oculus VR.

        I would stick to Gear VR type games at this stage, unless you want to wait for Pascal, etc.

      Thank you for the suggestion. I thought about doing that but didn't feel very genuine posting to gauge responses. It seems so-so and will be over in 2 hours. I've posted a few bargains in the past but always because I believed they were definite bargains, thanks.
