  • Sweet time to pre order the new Hearthstone expansion, thanks op!

  • I thought 20% off itune gift cards is a norm these days?? Can't believe there is a restriction of 4 cards per customer too!

    • Nope restriction means 4 cards on one transaction which means it is just a pain putting through multiple transactions.

      • Oh yeah that's true. However, 20% off gift cards is not likely to generate an 'itune card rush'. Deals that get ozbargain's attention usually have a discount of 25% or more.

        • I've seen customers spent more than $30k just to resell them overseas. You might not believe me but it's true.

    • Its ok, just used the self serve machine, scan 4 cards then pay for them.

      Then scan another 4 etc.

A bit annoying but I never understand the point of these restrictions especially with self serve machine being available to easily bypass it.

Stackable with Groupon 7.5% off Big W gift cards FTW

Buy a $100 Big W eGift Card for $92.50 to then purchase a $100 and $30 iTunes card for $104 (@ 20% off). Add the extra $4 to cover the shortfall and all up you've paid $96.50 for $130 value. A total discount of 25.8%. In case anyone was wondering..

    • I thought the Big W eGift cards couldn't be used to purchase other gift cards (i.e. iTunes)?

as per maltopia doesn't it say can't be used to purchase "Woolworths" issued gift cards

i.e.This Store eGift Card is redeemable at BIG W stores and BIG W Online only, and cannot be used to purchase any other Gift Cards issued by Woolworths Limited

itunes cards are not issued by woolworths, they are resold by them

It'd be really nice if Google Play was on sale as often :)

Also saw the same deal at Coles this morning

  • There are 2 questions that i genuinely don't understand or don't know.

    1. Why these iTune cards always have 20% OFF (compared with Google Play cards not so often) ??

    2. What are the things people using the cards on? Music? Games?

    • Music, games, apps, some people get their Netflix through iTunes.

I'd love the Nintendo gift cards to go on sale, y'know, ever.

      • JB and EB sometimes run discounts on Nintendo e-Shop cards, I always stock up when they do

    • Apple share the cost via a payment for numbers sold after the promotion period. Google seem less generous to make retailers want to run promos on their cards

    • 20% off Netflix

    • I buy movies and apps. I wait till movie trilogys for example on my wish list go on sale then use the 20% vouchers to get really cheap movies.

Not sure why 20% of iTunes gift cards are even posted as a deal anymore - They are 20% all day everyday at Officeworks - even the $20

    http://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/SearchDisplay?searchTerm=…

    • didn't know mate as i never buy them. but that's awesome for ios-ers.

happy for the post to be removed if need be :)

      • All good - at least the word is getting out there that OW is doing 20% all the time :)

On a side note - they usually have discounts on their Apple Macbooks too - usually a couple hundred under retail

    • Works well for me if i can use my gift cards from Dec last year to buy these. Those physical cards were 10% off, i bought them with 10% off eGift cards so some major stacking savings.

  • I get my Netflix through iTunes and so get 20% off my Netflix.

    • So instead of paying by credit card if you pay by iTunes card you can get discount??

      • Yes i load my iTunes cards on to iTunes and then pay for purchases with the available credit.

        • Uhh, i see. What else can you pay using iTunes credit??

        • @chengjianer: iOS apps and in app purchases, music, movies, Mac computer apps. The best was 33% off iTunes cards a few years back at TGG. I bought FCP X which was $350 for about $230.

  • yep also at coles as well at the moment.
