  Is this legit?

  Last time a free paper products deal was posted they ended up reneging on the offer, yet persisted in sending junk mail day after day.

  These are business paper samples right? IE- printed address cards etc.
  IE not a lot of use in less actually considering ordering…….for a business.
  Might amuse kids I suppose, but it seems pretty wasteful to order and have them sent just for fun.

    Yes, they are and yes, that's exactly their purpose. If you aren't a business owner or don't want to sample stationery and you'd like something a little more useful for your needs, then you could always go and check out the hundreds of other freebies on the aussiekidsfreebies.com.au site :-)

      Ok. So I had a look around and choose "Free tea sample". the page said

      "Click the button to get a delicious free tea sample from Bistrotea, just by subscribing to their newsletter. There’s no indication on the page that you’ll receive a free sample, but trust us – you’ll be sent one when you subscribe."

      I then went and subscribed.

      I'm wondering how they will send me any free tea samples because subscribing to their newsletter does not provide any option to enter a postal address. What is also disconcerting is that if I go to "Manage my Subscriptions" (because I'm looking for somewhere to add a postal address), I see a list of 8 "other available lists" that I can 'subscribe' to (& still no postal address option). So, do I now expect a flood of unwanted 'newsletters'?

        Sorry Quakka, They definitely do and your confusion is our fault for not specifying - The lovely director of Bistrotea will personally email you after you subscribe to request your address for the free sample shortly after you subscribe (but within business hours).   Hi Everyone, thanks for all the comments. Just a little message to clear a few things up. As it states in our website 'about us' page, we are an Australian family-owned site that sources FREEBIES, COMPS and HEAVILY DISCOUNTED PRODUCTS. These listed offers are made by carefully selected third-party businesses, looking to give away product samples for advertising purposes (some contact us directly, some we contact the business to request freebies and the majority are found by a painstaking process of searching Google for hours, trying to weed out the genuine deals). We (our family) are doing this for the love of it - not because we want to scam anybody. In fact, Aussie Kids Freebies is just a side project to our primary writing business and it earns us diddly-squat.

  Samples are exactly that - samples. The more samples businesses give away, the more their products are in circulation and they hope eventually you may buy some if you liked the sample! So to answer Jamesx, yes Bistrotea would like 1000 ozbers to subscribe - in fact they would love it!!! It would save them thousands of dollars in advertising costs (have you seen how much it costs to advertise these days? ouch!), and as a small Australian business themselves, these free samples would probably be keeping them afloat in what is probably a very difficult business to compete in. Just so you know - we receive absolutely nothing - not a red cent - from Bistrotea, for listing or talking about their product!

  Samples are a great way to advertise your products. We try very, very hard not to allow any spam sites in, and if any samples are requested but not received by our site visitors (which is highly unlikely, as we request the samples ourselves), or they receive spam, they just need to report this and we will remove that particular freebie from our site if there appears to be an issue. As I said, every sample we list gets vetted by us. we go through the process of gaining the freebie (not using our business name), receive each product and do video reviews!
  Hope that helps anyone who may be questioning our intention here. We're not trying to deceive you.
