Can any one please recommend me a good adsl2+ modem router for under $150? Thanks.
D6300 $130 shopping express

http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/netgear-d6300-ac1600-w…Sorry mate they had it on sale a few week ago. It could be finish now :-(
What about DGND3700 (an older Netgear model, but seems alright), it's below $150, "seller refurbished" w 1y warranty is currently $79 on ebay.
Tp-Link Archer D7
currently $139 using 20% off ebay sale…at futu online
This one served me well

The truth is out there.
.. as are the lies.
Personally, I would probably go for the Netgear R8000 for $287.20 delivered from futu_online: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Netgear-R8000-AC3200-Nighthawk-X6…
That's just a router. Any recommendations on a good modem?
Draytek.
But I would keep my modem and wireless router seperate, buy a cheap modem that can bridge mode. For a router I'd go something like the Tp-link archer C7 for about $150 from Kogan eBay right now or keep your eyes out for s C8 or R7000/R8000 on special (better than this one). Install DD-WRT on the router. Just my preference though.
oops I did mean the Archer C9 sorry
Choice magazine rate the Linksys EA9200 as the best router in their recent review (the DIR-890L and Netgear R8000 were both included in the test). This is available at Futu Ebay store for $236 after the 20% discount. Anybody have an opinion on this router?
listed as 'TBD' on the dd-wrt supported devices page: http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices#Links…
This alone would make me stay away from it for now.
We setup data networks in both homes and businesses. We use this router a lot in larger homes and it blows the socks off any other router in this class. Stability is rock solid, setup and maintenance is easy, and transmission speeds are generally at least double that of a 1750AC router (probably because the cpu is double the speed of most). My past experience with consumer grade Netgear (plastic) stuff has been less than great so we no longer even use or recommend them. This D-Link is a real surprise package and worth the extra few dollars if your looking at this level router. Can't comment on the Linksys, but they are generally pretty good too.
Finally, been waiting to get a drone for awhile now. This looks like a good entry model.
Been needing to upgrade my router for a while and finally going to byte whilst this deal is on, but can't decide!
Narrowed down to this one or:
Linksys EA9200 (Futu - $295 down to $236)
Netgear R8000 AC3200 Nighthawk X6 (Futu - $359 down to $288)or just get a dual band and save heaps of cash:
TP-LINK Archer C9 AC1900 (Kogan $188 down to $151)There is a distinct lack of Asus routers from these retailers, I really wanted a RT-AC68U but only have the RT-AC87U for $243 from Kogan and might as well get the EA9200 for that price.
I am in the exact same boat as you and had the exact same list (except for the linksys). I decided the netgear is too expensive, the rt-ac68U is unavailable for a decent price. So I'm deciding whether to pull the trigger on the C9, which is a good price at $151, but still very expensive for such old hardware…
In the same boat. Should I wait for the RT-AC68U? Was hoping to get a R8000 from $208…
Why do these AC routers require 6 antennae?
I believe it is because each of the 5GHz channels has their own 3 antennas = 600 + 1300 (3x3) + 1300 (3x3) = 3200.
Just found, this router has a mail-in promotion of a free DIR-306L when purchased from any Australian store.
