Lacteeze Extra Strength 120 Tablet Pack - on Sale for $20.99 at Chemist Warehouse

280

A pretty good deal for those who suffer from lactose intolerance.

I usually get my lactase tabs from iHerb but these are now very price-competitive.

  • Very good price for these! I got them at a Chemplus and they price matched this which was good. They're normally around $26-$28 at CW

  • They been like this for at least a week. I thought this was the new price. If not I better stock up.

    The toilet is free.

      Toilet paper isn't

      • and neither is water

  • I thought it was that price last week as well while I was waiting for my order from vitacost to arrive.. I had to get a packet of the Ultra Double Strength. Personally I feel like the 4,000 FCC lactase tablets are not strong enough for me but good price for local stock.

  • Great price - they were 25 bucks when I bought them last month.

So you pop one of these before you havd milk and you are good?

    • +2

You won't know how many you need to eat unless you do some trial and error…

    • Yep, depends how intolerant you are. I only need about 1 for a cheesy/creamy meal or a coffee. Were I to want to eat a bucket of ice cream or an entire pizza I'd take 2 :P

      • I've taken four before for a take home pack of cold rock…

Luckily I'm no longer lactose intolerant.

        • Serious?

        • @Hirolol:

          Yes Why?

It depends on how sensitive you are and how much you are eating.

If you are lactose intolerant I would not recommend eating a whole tub of ice cream.

        • @samfisher5986:
i just thought once you are intolerant its all over.

        • I didn't realise you could loose it, there is hope!

        • +1

          @stublu:

I lost weight and can now eat an entire tub of ice cream without issues :)

I've also heard of other methods people have used to help it, it depends on your situation.

So these tablets are for humans who wanna imitate a baby cow and be able to drink mummy cow's breastmilk?

    • +1

I need this to eat anything with bread, burger, cakes, cookies, butter, margarine, frozen food (which terrifyingly contains mummy cow's breastmilk)
      Yes

      • Terrifying indeed. I'd hate to have my own mum's breastmilk in any of my food, let alone that of another mum from another species.

  • Great find OP!

Their new Lacteeze Ultra 40 Chewable Caplets is also down to $15.99 (RRP $22.20)
This is for those who want a less heavy, less crumbly, and less noisy container.

But this 120 tablets is now cheaper per FCC lactase units:

    120 tablets * 4000 FCC lactase units = 480,000
    $20.99
    $1 = 22,868 FCC lactase units

    40 caplets * 9000 FCC lactase units = 360,000
    $15.99
    $1 = 22,514 FCC lactase units

After this sale is over, the Ultra is usually cheaper at CW

  • Thanks for the heads up!!! Lately I have been using Lactofree. Less bulky container so it's great for carrying around in pocket or purse and they also don't crumble like lacteeze do. http://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/74750/Lacto-Free-100-…
    It's also 4000 lactase units.

    • they just don't taste as good as lacteeze :(
So much better for convenience though!

  • +1

I stock up on these chewable Walgreens lactose tablets when in USA. Each vanilla flavoured tablet is 9000 FCC and is individually packaged so I simply carry a couple in my back pocket everyday.Wish they were sold in Australia!

    • +1

I just can't understand why Lacteeze here is mint flavored…vanilla is so much better

  • +1

Can't eat ice cream without these wondrous little guys (well I can but it isn't pleasant…)

It does look a bit suspect when I pull some tablets out of a little unlabeled baggie in public though.

  • Prices have gone back up :(
