      Haha I tried

Don't worry about any haters below who are bashing this deal.

It's a good deal, perhaps it will get enough votes to claw it's way onto the front page?

      • +6

I dunno why people downvoted your comment, these puns are a great torquing point I tell you.

Great for those who live in Sydney, sucks for everyone else. We really gotta hammer it into the guys that the delivery charge is too steep.

If I was in Sydney I'd definitely get one, it's a steel.

At what size does it not become a "girl's hammer"

        • +5

You're a pretty cool guy. Like all macho and shit. I would love to be more like you, manly super cool dude bro.

        • +2

          Have to admit, good comeback.

    • 20oz / 570g is a perfectly normal weight for a claw hammer.

    • I have one and it is a normal size hammer.

    @tonyjzx:

These are the classic "girl's hammers"

    Nope, these are Maxwell's hammers

      Silver ?

      • Hi Yo…

  • it's hammer time !

  • +1

Thanks OP. I didn't realise I needed a hammer. Picked up 2 for myself and the old man.

    • Glad I helped

  • +1

This was handled pretty quickly. Can't wait to get my claws on it.

    Thanks OP

  • If it's as solidly put together as it looks then it's an absolute bargain for this price. A good hammer (and good tools in general) is worth getting. Spent way too much time stuffing around with cheap crap tools that break or somehow make the job harder.

  • Not quite the right model for you Zombie Apocalypse Preparedness Kit. Need a framing hammer or bricklayers hammer for that… :p

  • I believe this was $5 late last year but still good price.

    • +2

No need to bang on about it!

      • +1

Mate you hit the nail on the head with this comment

No bargains to be seen here for non-Sydneyers although it may look like one.

For those not in Sydney, similar hammers can be found at your local Bunno's, SuperCheapAuto or Masters for a comparable price.

FYI this hammer is always this price.

  • Nice job, shame about everyone slagging this for non-sydney Residents, I'm pretty sure Canberra has nothing to do with Sydney :(

    • -2

      Canberra is located inside Sydney

      • no its not, its part of Melbourne.

  • plus 300% delivery to Melbourne, no deal for me.

      It's called Sydney tools…

  • Thanks OP. Have been using a monkey wrench all this while to beat nails in. :D

  • Bought 2!!:)

Hate that use "oz" as measurement, i had to google into kg.

    20 oz = 0.57kg

    It's pretty light..

    • +1

20oz is not a particularly light hammer actually. Though it's real world 'heaviness' all depends on how long the hammer is…

    • Hate that use "oz" as measurement, i had to google into kg.

      Why all the Oz hate?

[Kg]Bargain just doesn't have the same ring to it.

  • Good

Sale still on. Bought one yesterday from Castle Hill Syd Tools. Plenty left. Nice weighted hammer. 20 oz is plenty for around the home.

    • Good to hear! Plenty of stock when I picked up 2 for my old man from the Tarren Point store!
