Does anyone know if this supports wired remote with zoom capabilities?

You can control the zoom remotely only if you have the panasonic power zoom lenses: the 14-42mm pz or the 45-175mm pz. You can do so on your phone or tablet (no need to buy a remote) via the free Panasonic Imaging app on android or ios.
Be aware that neither lens is parfocal so there will be some hunting if you zoom during a video .
Thanks, that is all I had discovered too. However using a phone or tablet is not viable. The intended use is partially for video recording panning on a tripod which would require one hand on the tripod handle and whilst looking through the viewfinder or at the camera screen. A wired remote such as the one I linked is what is used for video cameras and is attached to the tripod handle. Unfortunately it seems that no still cameras support this feature.
