  • How do you define New Customer? Do you know?

  • hmmm. good question. could be new account or just never ordered before…not sure.

  • Does anyone actually know if you need a different email for a new account? I've used a couple of these new customer coupons, but I've been creating new hotmail emails each time, something I can't be bothered keeping up :s

i think you do because your login is actually your email address

Don't even bother with fishpond, they're shit, they just cancelled my order which I paid for 2 weeks ago and told me I'd have to wait for a refund, pathetic company.

    • Thanks for the reminder, that's pretty bad customer service I suppose… take them 2 bloody weeks to realize that?! crap!

      • Hi …,

        Thank you for your order!

        Please check the details below.

**** no this email wasn't helpful!
2-3 working days…I suppose if they make people wait for weeks and don't deliver you'd expect they're going to take some more time to give you your money back.
Here's the link to the item which indicates the item is IN STOCK AND THEY'RE TAKING ORDERS! http://www.fishpond.com.au/882224450430

        AVOID!

There have been cases where they display the boxart of Aussie games (OFLC ratings) but end up sending overseas NTSC versions.

    Buyer beware.

    • I ordered 3 games from them recently at very good prices. 1 game was Australian, 1 was a UK version and 1 was an American one. They worked fine, but I was unable to redeem the included nintendo points as they were only valid in certain countries.

  • Thay cancelled my first order because it was "out of stock". Same item became available within 24hours, purchased again and received email confirming order and expected delivery period. Had to chase up 3 weeks later and be told it's "out of stock" AGAIN. I believe they simply didn't want to honor the sale price because it was significantly cheaper than most e-tailers.

They lure you with discount vouchers and mark downs (constant price flucuations) but can't actually deliver the goods.

  • My first and only time I've used Fishpond has been a good experience (and only last week).

Ordered a textbook on a Thursday, had it in my hand on teh following Tuesday. Used the coupon no problems, and was emailed when it was dispatched (was sent on the Friday).

    • ive made 12 orders from fishpond with only the latest one made 2 weeks ago not having arrived on the given expected due date, just a case of bad luck i guess
and time to fire off an email to fishpond

  • Same thing happened to me here, they cancelled my xbox 360 12 months subscription because of "out of stock". How did you chase your refund or you have to just wait them to do it.

  • jesus, I a) prob shouldnt have ordered from them b) shouldnt have posted this deal.

I ordered some books from Fishpond. It worked out to be about $30 cheaper than anywhere else on booko.com.au. And they arrived promptly.

I know some of you guys have had bad experiences with some crazy low prices mixed with coupons, however for everyday normal purchases they are fine!

+1 for Fishpond, who are delivering decent prices and promising to beat Amazon's prices.

I think for games they're a bit iffy - i also received the new super mario bros wii game with a overseas rating - not a australian copy as displayed. However for books they're alright.

  • New customers blah they are flooding the forms with their bs
