[PS4/Xbox One] Tom Clancy's The Division $68 @ Big W & Target

120

Went in to check if they had copies and saw it already marked down. I know I know, it was never $89, but it's cheaper than some other deals posted on the last few days…

Bigw always have great prices always shop there for games..

Not a huge fan of this game though, waiting for hitman release in a few days.

Target is also $68 I believe. I'm going to hold out and see what the reviews say before jumping in.

Welp, I got my friend to get me a copy (PC) from JB Hi Fi for $69… if only Big W sold PC version as well then I could ask for a price match lol

  • +2

now waiting for Target to sell it for $24 just like Rainbow Six Siege!

    • What's wrong with ubi games lol, price drop dramatically

    • Eventually, not Day 1 though :)

Was posted here as it's in the big w catalog.

Beating JB hi fi by $1

    • It makes me feel tempted to pricematch lolol

  • Anyone know if EB is pricematching this?

    • Yes, I was just at RB Games Darling Harbour and they matched the target/big W price.

    • yes, providing there is a Big w or target within the same shopping mall. I do that all the time.

      • +1

Is that same shopping mall excuse a real thing? In Sydney, Hornsby EB has said that to me before, but what about other ones that are standalone or in a small shopping centre? Seems like a lame excuse to me.

        • Totally agree, Huck…very lame..I am lucky to have them both in the same complex (Sydney) so avoids any conflict in making that argument but considering they charge $99 for a game, they would be stupid to turn down a sale. It still shocks me every time, that people still pay that much for a game at EB.

They all vary. Officially the rule use to be that it had to be within 20km radius. I stopped shopping at EB years ago once they stopped the high trade in deals and trade 3 junk games for a new release deals. Cheaper and easier to order online for delivery now.

Hmmmm got a copy of Rainbow 6 Siege still sealed from Target, thinking I should return it and get this instead.

    • I would highly consider doing this. R6 isn't as good as I'd hoped but the Divison looks like it could really go places

Siege is fantastic. division could be OK too but a totally different game. Beta was just OK. Waiting for reviews before I buy.

      • Seige is "ok" at best. It feels like every other Rainbow Six game, so if you like them, it's good. But the whole lag and rage quitting killing a whole team is just beyond annoying…

The best comparison I have heard of The Division is, if Destiny and Gears of War had a love child, it would be this game…

        • Well I'm a massive fan of the original Gears and watched a video of the beta earlier and it did Redmond me of it.

@Where's_That_Cake: Well, a quick update on what the game is like… It is good. If you liked GoW, you are going to like this. It is nothing like Destiny's open world apart from coming across random players or putting a call out for a fire team. At least in The Division you can call on fireteams in the middle of the game.

Now that I have played it for a few hours, I would say, it's more like a cross between Watchdogs style 3rd person, Gears of War run and cover fighting, Rainbow 6 type characters and story, but the mods/loot/upgrade system seems way too cluttered and complexed. I a, sure I will learn it. But it is very very much like Watchdogs, it just feels like a re-skin with different story added…

    • Purchase yesterday on PC. Preloaded! Just waiting to get home to play play play!

    • Seige got a bit boring after a while its just like playing CS again. I think from the beta that this will be more fun with a group rolling around. As an idea JBHIFI is trading Seige in for $25 too.

  • Have not played this one. Any good?

Only came out today so I'm going to wait a bit for some reviews. I tried the Beta and wasn't blown away by it.

      • +1

Same here, waiting for review to come out.

      • I'm in the same boat.
        Son & I both played Beta co-op.
Was ok but not something I'd find myself constantly drawn too play every night.
This might change with future patches.

  • This game is great fun especially if you play with friends. If you don't have anyone on your friends list, you can always add people from the facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheDivisionAustralia

  • yeah the xbox deals were mentioned in last weeks bigw thread. its even cheaper if u buy a discounted
    giftcard and then use it

  • You can buy this in digital form from the Argentine XBOX Store for $64 for the GOLD edition, and it's playable now. #awesome #deal

    • without VPN ? possible to buy

    • whats the advantage of gold edition?

      • It includes the season pass.

I prefer physical copy myself but gold edition for $64 is too much to pass up.

        • damn that is good since season pass alone is $59.95. Hmm, tempting but like you I prefer physical copy. Will wait on some reviews then decide.

  • Costco Casula $1 cheaper again at $66.99 (Membership required of course)
