DILLINGER COMFORT http://goatelectricbikes.com.au/products/dillenger-comfort $401 was $843

DILLINGER JAGUAR http://goatelectricbikes.com.au/products/dillenger-jaguar $446 was $937

All these bikes use lead acid batteries but it still seems like a good deal.

The site claims they are on sale because they are 2015 models and are making room for their 2016 models which presumably will listed at a later date.

I actually saw this sale yesterday and was going to buy a different model (Puma) they had but it sold out quickly within a few hours of seeing it.I'm only posting it today because last night I thought they would probably all be sold out by today but these 3 models are left so hopefully there are enough for a lot of people to get a bargain.

  • Something must be wrong with them.

  • From a lot of googling, most sites seem to point out that SLA batteries seem to wear out extremely quickly — manufacturer usually rates them at 200 charge cycles but the reality is they start fading out at 100.

that… and the battery looks absolutely chunky.

Very affordable price points though, i assume the bike frame itself, without the battery or electrics is worth $150~200 at least.

  • Nice but do they make any for men?

  • Can these be ridden on roads unregistered?

    • YES Smooth pedal assist up to 250W at 25km/h (EN15194 certified)

      https://www.bicycles.net.au/2012/05/australian-government-cl…

The Hon Catherine King MP, Parliamentary Secretary for Infrastructure and Transport, has announced an amendment to the definition of a power-assisted pedal cycle. Power-assisted bicycles with electric motors up to 250watts and a maximum speed of 25km/h that are compliant with European Standard (EN 15194) can now be imported into Australia.

      • +1

That website says that you are allowed to import them, but doesn't say anything about legalities of riding it in public.

250w En15194 compliant bicycles can be legally used in all states and territories except Northern Territory.

  • 32kg with the battery installed, 22.8kg without - insanely heavy…! you aint gonna be doing much pedaling thats for sure!

    • 27kg riding weight, 17.8kg without the battery for the Dillinger Comfort Model

  • seems like great great prices, but damn they're some ugly bikes. I'm looking at converting my mountain bike to an ebike at the moment

  • +1

I converted my fold bike to electric with the dillenger kit. Should have waited abit longer. :(

  • can you ride them on bike paths?

  • +1

Yes you definitely can ride these on bike paths as they meet the Standard EN 15194 because they are limited to 25km/h with motor assist. Only Petrol powered bikes and Electric bikes over 250w that are not EN 15194 compliant are banned.

  • shipping to perth $82 seems bit rich

  • +1

so those that did grab any of these when deal started has your bike arrived yet? how is it going so far? was it easy to assemble? also still can't tell difference between the Eco and Comfort besides few Kg lighter and nicer looking seat from what i see, can't find many reviews either.

    • Never buy it online. I had very bad experience with goatelectricbikes.com.au. When I receive the electrical bike, the brake pads were broken. I contacted them lots of times, but, unfortunately, responses have never been received.

      • Apart from the brake pads and their unfortunate lack of service. How is the electric power on your bike? Does it last very long?
