On the Australian store it's $29.95
You need to change the region on your PC to India. Then the store will show you the price in Indian Rupee (₹729)

If it was ubisoft and they had a pc release this bad, you would get a free game out of it. Anyone know if microsoft would give anything?
Hm hard to tell. Microsoft have yet to release a statement but I have never heard of them giving a free game. Maybe free DLC/skin maybe
Windows Defender?
on a side note:
if you dont meet the minimum requirements for the game it will let you buy it but cant download it
Isn't that a given everywhere? Nothing stops you buying on Steam for instance.
I wasn't aware of content delivery services actually restricting an install of a game.
It's a looong time ago, but I'd run Quake 3 on 32MB of ram despite the minimum being 64MB. Still ran quite well. The game would simply give a warning you were under the requirements as you went to install it and that performance may not be great as a result.
True but you can refund though.
That's not true though. You can always download and install in any other platform but you just run into frame rate problem when playing the game.
@Letrico:
i was talking about the windows store only
Was happy face….now sad face :-(
How do you get it to work if the address is different to your CC holder?
i keep getting "Contact us at microsoft support"
Amazing how they managed to screw up a game that was released 9 years ago on the same platform.
Gears of War Ultimate Edition wasn't released on PC 9 years ago… I know what you're getting at, but you're wrong… this may be the same game but it isn't the same under the hood
It's the exact same game remastered. Was a disaster before, still a disaster 9 years later. Not to mention quantum break is coming very soon and I don't think I'll be picking it up until reviews are out. I thought pc version was too good to be true. It seems like it will be another dx12 guinea pig.
exactly, it's remastered… changed/enhanced in certain ways… I never had any issues with the original on PC but I'd say a lot of the technical issues here are like you say, early days of dx12 and also devs still coming to grips with the Windows Store format, there are certain restrictions and ways they have to do things in order to be compliant and clearly they didn't test this thoroughly enough before putting it out :\
hopefully they'll work this stuff out before forza 6: apex hits!
Hey OP, so you've actually managed to buy it with an Australian CC? I bought Tombraider from the Ukraine store and that worked fine. But I just tried the same thing with GOW and it said that 'We can't process your payment'. I think they've closed the loop.
Same thing for me, trying to work around it now to no avail.
I'm half tempted to buy a virtual credit card (ie, entropay), but i have a feeling that won't work either..
Worst case it's on the Ukraine store for 17.80
@naedtrax: Think you're missing the point. I don't think you can buy out of region, at all.
Yeah, had a 12 hour shift so i'm not fully there lol.
It must be complete lock out, which sucks.
If the game wasn't broken i'd happily play the asking price, but it's broken as hell
Did you also get a verification amount deducted from your card? I have 5 transactions of 0.04 cents and a .47 cent.. hm
@naedtrax: Yeah.. i just had one 4 cent amount. i think i tried twice to buy it.
"This app is not compatible with this device", Can't even buy it and I meet all the minimum requirements. :(
Don't support this mess.
