    I really don't like these sticks without any kinds of cover or protection on the port.

    The shape suggests you to use it as a keyring? But I don't want the pins to be scratched. The material used also seem to be prone to scratches.

    • It's steal made not aluminium, I say it's the best material for a usb drive.

        If it's made of steal it will probably feel hot.

        • This one I don't ever feel hot. but Sandisk's same looking one is hot, Sandisk tiny's one is BURNING.

          @leetec: It's STEEL not steal…

        • i have this and it definitely gets super hot when in use

        • @JajaMinx: Naturally I was being facetious.

        I hate people who steal.

    • For almost 6 years I had a Lacie key which is a larger version of one of these http://www.lacie.com/as/en/products/usb-keys/petitekey/

      It doesn't get more exposed than that and was on my keychain 24/7. Still works. Bought the Samsung for more storage and really don't think the pins are going to be an issue.

    • The internal pins are protected from scratching. That's the design of the usb male port.

  • I got a couple last time they had 2 for 50 odd for the 64gb.. Good little thing to hang of the keys… Nice and sturdy

    • The write speed is 130MB/s?

      I'll get other retailers to price beat.

        http://www.storagereview.com/samsung_bar_usb_30_drive_review…

        47MB/s Read & 43MB/s Write. Pretty average, and no where near the spin their marketing department came up with, at 130MB/s.

        • Thanks for the information!

          @PW:

          FYI, mine generally gives 110Mb/s+ sustained read speeds, and hangs around 50ish for writes. Can push 160/100MB/s using ATTO bench.

        Crystal Disk Mark on the 64GB.
        Seq Q32t1 125MB/s Read, 42MB/s Write.

  • The sandisk micro 64gb is $28 I like the design of the Samsung but I also like the physical soze of the sandisk and it's a little cheaper….tough choices

    Thanks Op, good deal - but my saturday-harvey-norman-USB-stick budget for this week went on Trents deal already :(

  • Thanks OP. Bought one. However, delivery fee is $7.95 as there's no HN around my area. Uggh…kinda kills the deal but i urgently need one now.

  • plenty stock at Adelaide CBD, SA store if anyone is interested. bought a 64gb one!

  • bought 3. thanks

    I got the 32GB model. Brand new write speed is impressive 100MBs but after 30GB of data was written to it, the speed drops to miserable 30MBs - http://imgur.com/a/auBks

  • Please update the price for the Samsung USB drive.

    16GB $8, 32GB $19, 64GB $36.

  • 32gb is actually $15…I'm staring at it right now!
    Edit already posted here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/237009

      • I just bought it as I posted this @$15 from Joondalup store
