Does the OP not represent Masters?

I was in store last night and the staff had zero clue or care and just said the price is whatever it scans at regardless of what the flyers advertise.

    • +10

Hi Olokun, thanks for bringing this to our attention we will chase it up with our team. Clearance and customer blinds are excluded. We will update you soon.

      • Thanks for that, as it was frustration as I could not get a confident answer from in store staff.

        • +4

Hi Olukun, sorry for the frustration, our team has confirmed these should be 50% off and this will be fixed up today. Unfortunately pricing will only update on our website overnight. thanks again for your feedback.

  • Hi Masters,

Are you going to be putting any of your corded hammer drills on sale or other power tools?

    • Hi brocky2006, unfortunately we don't have any corded hammer drills on sale, please sign up to the Masters newletter at the bottom of www.masters.com.au to get notifications of our upcoming sales.

  • Any buy $500 and get $100 gift card deals coming up? I was gonna buy your Bosch mower but then you guys just jacked up the price by 30 bux.

  • +1

The Geelong units are reduced by 25% from RRP and you get an additional 25% off at checkout. This specific one was well-received at $49 in this last deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/233488.

    At $27.50, I reckon it's a steal.

    • Hi freeslave_44, thanks for showing us this, this has been loaded by mistake and we have asked our team to fix it up.

      • +3

TBH, it was not my intention to point it out to you, more for the community. If it is an error on your end, glad my post helped you correct it. I do expect you to honour prior orders though.

    • +9

Interesting how it takes them over night to fix prices that have not been reduced by accident and how an an accidental reduction can be fixed almost instantly. Thanks for pointing this out Freeslave, but alas, it is no more :-(

      • And that is why Masters will soon be, no more.

        • +1

Mistakes do happen mate. Hope they respect the pricing as it was clearly saying 25% extra discount in the cart.

        • @Gaggy:
Yeah, I was about to drive to Masters but then noticed the extra incentive to do it online. I would feel pretty annoyed if they cancel the order and possibly sell out in the meantime.

  • +1

That 80v mower is awesome :)

  • What? I just pickup 2 geelong shelfs unit yesterday for $39.9each. I'm going to refund mine.

    • Just ask them for their 30 day price guarantee. They will refund the difference (unless the item is marked 'clearance' now, in which case they refused to honour it for me).

      • @Masters AUS: Can you please confirm if the "best price guarantee" applies if your item drops in price?

        • +1

Hi ronnkee, yes if you purchase a product and the price is reduced within 30 days you can return to the store you purchased from and get a refund of the difference. You can do this with the Geelong products to get the 25% Off that is currently advertised. If you try and get another 25% off you will not be able to do this as it was an error and is no longer current.

        • +1

@Masters AUS: Thanks so much. I'm only after the original 25% off. I will go do that tonight.

        • @Masters AUS:
+1. They matched the price of my mower, which was75 Bucks less!

    • Imagine buying 13 altogether…

    Some outstanding deals on plants!
    4m golden palms for >$60

    • Hi BTRaynes, please check instore for offers on plants as the prices will not be reflected online.

  • Masters just have to sell it to a Chinese buyer, that'll solve the problem.

    Thanks Op,
what a refreshing change to have a store rep actually taking the time to provide a great layout post
i.e. List of items, links to the items & links to previous OzB posts & heaven forbid providing useful replies to questions!

    Well done!

  • +1

    +1 for the effort.

    • +1

Agreed. I hope this OP applies for a job at bunnings soon - masters bargains are irrelevant to me as nearest one is 40 mins drive - i passed about 7 bunnings on the one trip i made to master a few months ago!

      • Totally, they are all so far away. I have a Bunnings 2min from my office, and another 5min from my house

The nearest Masters is 30min from my work, and about 30min from my house

      • im a bit lucky then, the one at box hill is next to the bunnings.
but there are a lot of bunnings around…

  • anyone try calling Chullora? Good luck getting through.

    • Hi D6C1, sorry about the trouble you are having getting through to the Chullora store, is there anything we can help you with?

  • OP, can you please confirm if the "best price guarantee" applies if you've now lowered the price? Previously bought the Geelong Shelves at $49 each last week, now they're $36.75 :(

    • Well you could be cheeky, buy a new one, then return it for a refund on the old docket

      • I would normally advise that but I have 13 of them and they're quite bulky/heavy :(

    • +3
  • weary of posting masters deals now on ozb, might get picked up by the rep and get "corrected"

    • +4

      i'm watching you ravzter ;-)

  • I believe you can use WISH Gift Cards at Masters and Cashrewards have them at 5% off. so take another 5% off your purchase :)

  • Nice, managed to get there today before the rush, bought four mature Japanese maples. Almost bought the $99 drill set too but am concerned about warranty if Masters folds…

    • +3

No need to worry about warranty, just keep your receipt like you would with any purchase. If the worst happens Woolworths have said they will honour all warranties plus the manufacturer also has responsibility for warranty not just the retailer.

    • Masters? Rush? They have checkouts that will never get used.

      • +1

I meant before other people buy all the good plants!

  • Bad news coming as, Dick Smith is closing stores. Sad for the employees of Dick Smith. I wish the same does not happens with Masters and they get some solution for their problem. Hard time for both Dick Smith & Masters employees.

    • Hard time… I see what you did there!

  • Its actually (nearly) the perfect time to buy plants now as the ground is warm enough for the roots to get a start without it being so hot that they wilt. By next spring they should have reasonably deep roots and if they are reasonably hardy might survive without watering.

  • They cleared out their outdoor furnitures a few weeks back, now it's plants. My local ones garden section is half empty and running on a skeleton crew, no one seem to give a sht anymore. They're really winding down now… Just waiting for their tools sale.

For those that are participating I the boycott, divestment and sanctions against Israeli settlements in the occupied territories, Keter is on the list.

Wait - What ?? I couldn't see it in the catalog

  • Ordered 4 sets of blinds. Ended up receiving 3. Epic fail. I can't see how masters can even operate with simple mistakes like this. Now I need to sort it out or charge back the final set of blinds.
