Dont waste your money.
They are very flimsy and not child proof, you can get cut easily on the edges
Thanks for the review. Any decent ones you prefer for the garage or the custom ones?
If your a handy man and have the tools, get some pallets for free and use the wood to make custom shelving.
You'll probably need 3 - 4 pallets for a decent solid wood shelving
Thanks mate. Not a handy man, but can try few things, if it is easy to do. Have some basic tools. Will do a youtube video search and see how they look.
Didn't know if I can have for free.get some pallets for free and use the wood to make custom shelving
If you are stone mason, go live in a cave and use your skills to carve shelves out of the solid rock walls.
@Gaggy: Saw few on youtube and they look ugly. Might see multiple good value shelves like geelong ones or from some other shop.
@Gaggy: you could always give it a free lick of paint
There is also 25% off the full range of Geelong Shelving Units starting Thursday
Thanks. That looks much better.
@Gaggy: I have 4 of these in my shed
https://www.masters.com.au/product/900003057/geelong-powder-…
and they are terrific. The only issue is that every singe piece of MDF was too big for the space created by the frame. I had to use a saw to chop off 1-1.5cm on every single piece for it to fit easily. With the first piece I tried to force it in tight - but the MDF bent at the corner.
Just be aware - once I cut all the PDF pieces, they look a treat and feel very sturdy.
Recommended!
PS: having a mallet will help enormously
@flashi007: That does look awesome. How many you bought. Looks like I will need 2-3. Though expensive, does this look good?

Looking something under $500 for the garage.
@Gaggy: the masters ones were perfect for my needs. I bought 4 on sale and got them at a reasonable price.
Just be a bit wary about your online shop. I think Edison's used to trade as agrmachinery who don't have great reviews online. From memory there is a long thread on WP about them. However shops can change - and they might have lifted their practices now. I've never dealt with then myself so can't give you first hand information. I was thinking about buying one of their pressure washers but bought a Gerni instead.
@flashi007: Thanks mate. Do you mind sharing what was the price you got them for?
Also Germi is a good choice as they dont have plastic pumps. Also looking for those when they go on sale.@Gaggy: sorry. I bought 3 of them not 4 - bought 3 and a work bench. They cost me $267 for 3 of them on 15 Sept last year. Think they were reduced at the time. Ended up saving another $26 with a ten percent off voucher - was happy around $240 for the three of them.

Really happy with the Gerni. Has a 5 year warranty. Picked it up from super cheap during their 25% off weekend a couple of weeks ago.
@flashi007: Wow. That is almost $80 per shelf. Great price and thanks for the receipt. 1.5 years earlier, the same shelf was on sale here for $69.
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/159219Wanted Gerni as well and did not know SCA sells them.
I was gonna buy one of these, but then I shelved that idea when I saw it in person.
I heard they have a terrible shelf life anyway
Wife wanted to see a photo so I sent her a shelfie with it.
All this talk is making me hungry. Might get some shellfish for dinner tonight!
What about for the rest of us? That's quite a shelfish comment =p
I have five or six of these (or similar) in my shed.
If I had known what a pain they were to assemble I would have gone for the bolt-lock ones with MDF shelves instead. Those are currently $40. Much better product, but more expensive.
These are pretty flimsy, you'll want to attach them together AND to the wall.
On the plus side,
- You can put them outdoors.
- Compact and lightweight. Once assembled, you can move them around easily enough.
- Super cheap.I would prefer one of the more sturdy ones, but i need a width <75cm…the sturdier ones at Bunnings/Masters all seem to be 80cm+ unfortunately!
Then by all means get one. Or get two packs for the extra shelves - I bought extras to make 6-tier shelves. they're spaced pretty far apart as 4-tier.
Once they're in place, they're perfectly serviceable.
Just be prepared for some swearing in the assembly stage.
yup you get a whole bunch of tiny nuts and bolts to put together. absolute pain in @$$ compared to the bigget boltless ones which are are breeze to assembly. Be prepared for a couple of hours of swearing and fumbling about with tiny bolts.
Looks like the Hyundai Excel of shelving units.
Spot on, gets the job done but dont expect big things.
TBH, i have had 2 similar flimsy units in the shed for yonks and it serves the purpose.
You dump stuff on it and when you need it just grab it off it.Like others said, either attach it to something or keep traffic away from it (kids etc)
USE GLOVES!!! they will cut your hands!!!
You pretty much can't, the nuts and bolts are too tiny to handle with gloves on.
Maybe just pre-bandaid all your fingers.
I put together about 12 of the Repco equivalent of these, zero cuts and I don't have tough hands. Assembly was fiddly but not dangerous.

If you are looking for a simple shelf these aren't that bad, I have 3 in use to tidy up the garage but make no mistake light end gear is on it. Oil containers, shoes, sports gear, helmets. Handy to be able to move it around to suit your needs but….
as simple as they are, they're a chore to put together, not hard by any means only that there are a heap of pieces. I used an open end spanner and cordless drill with a 3/8"dr adaptor and socket. That alone speeds it all up, torque setting on 4 out of 12. Loosely put it all together by hand and run it all up.
These things work great as stands for Window Airconditioning units where you have to temporarily install them :)

Can anyone recommend a good set of shelves for outdoor use? The ones with mdf shelf bases will be no good.
Hi all,
Just tried to order one online. Seems to be a stackable 25% promo running at the moment. Got one for $7.50 instead of $10. Get in quick before they find out? Add to cart to get new price.
Thanks a bunch!
Sounds good, but I added one to cart, nothing happened. Other steps involved?
There was a separate 25% off promotion for Geelong shelves. I think they have "corrected" it to exclude the $10 shelves.
I've seen it in store and I reckon they're rubbish,
i didn't know masters do catalogues anymore
