Disclaimer regarding refurbished product on the page:
These are a factory refurbished product. A refurbished product is one which usually has been returned to the supplier and is then fixed by a technician and thoroughly tested. As a result, refurbished product will usually have a lower rate of return than new products since they are all individually checked and tested while new products are not always. So all-in-all, these perform like a brand new product (although you may find some minor cosmetic imperfections), and you get them at a fraction of the price!

    This was from 2012.

This is not an Apple refurb. Apple refurbs usually have a new battery, a new outer shell and new accessories with a factory warranty the same as a new one.

This one probably just had a wipe down with microfiber cloth and a check to see if it worked then a reset.

What about the price difference? How much would Apple sell refurb ipad 4 cellular? $400? $500?

Good for transfer from dslr to ipad

      • Really, you can transfer photos from a DSLR to an iPad?

  • Who will provide the warranty?
    Apple?

    Are you kidding me??

Yeah, QA process may not cover every aspect like an individual would do to their goods, eg: drop test, bend test, scratch screen test, battery tolerant test, etc.. :p

Don't forget the toilet reading test….

  • Wow.. even iPad 4 is so old… I came here to comment too good to be true.. even checked that there is no Paypal option :)

We have an iPad 4. The retina display rocks. Use it all the time. Never skips a beat. For Internet and general media consumption, you can't go wrong. We won't be replacing ours until it dies because we have absolutely no reason to. I've bought lots of refurbished gear and never had an issue. Can't speak for these particular guys though. Not had any experience with their refurbs.

I have a ipad 2 and even that is working alright given the age. and since I didnt upgrade the IOS; its doing its job ok.. but of course missing out on the new features

    • I also have an ipad4 and its great but I always wonder how long before the battery dies. After every update I always seem to be charging it more and more.

      • +2

Battery is covered by AppleCare so for either no cost or a little they will replace battery or complete unit

    • Agree - I have ipad mini retina and see no reason to upgrade it. It's used purely for internet, media consumption and facetime no need to update it, performance is as good as it was the day i bought it, including battery life.
My wife has an ipad 2 and this is showing it's age but she still uses it constantly - I suspect the "slowness" is because she also mostly uses it for internet but always has about 100 tabs open in safari…
My parents have ipad 2 and for their needs it is fast enough - internet, media consumption and facetime.

…just because someone says you need to update tells you to update every couple of years doesn't mean it's necessary.

      • Mate, if you dont mind what ios version your wife and your parents running on their ipad 2?
because I have the same, but it started getting slow :/
        Cheers

        • My wife: Itry to keep her up to date… but just checking and she's still running IOS 8.1.3. Update to 9.2.1 is waiting to be installed when I get to it!

          Don't know about my parents…

      • Main reason you need to update the iOS is to stay up with security patches

"These are things of true fruity beauty, staying true to Apple’s history of simplistic awesome design. It’s slick, it’s sick and it doesn’t miss a trick."

  • Still using my iPad 3 bought on launch. No real complaints given its age. Worst case scenario for this refurb is that you use it as a giant retina gps display or hotspot.

  • Not a bad price for a cellular version

  • and you get them at a fraction of the price!

    A fraction. I don't know man. It's a 2012 product for $280 refurbed.

    • Yep bit high. I grabbed one for $299 from the target deal a few months back.

Still a decent product for the price and my first apple purchase since 80gb ipod (wolfson chip)

  • nvm delete

  • Anything 16Gb is going to run like a dog once its full
