The Spine & Limb Foundation's Book Bazaar at Shenton Park have their monthly book sale today (9am-7pm) and tomorrow (9am-5pm). This time the offer is "Fill a bag with books for $15". Also, all collectibles are half-price. Thousands of second-hand books available, hardcover and paperbacks, a wide range of fiction and non-fiction for adults and children. The books are either ex-library or have been donated to the foundation. The bag provided (gold coin donation) is one of those reusable shopping bags about 42cm H x 26cm W x 20cm D (when it has books in it!). I went down there this morning and managed to squeeze 19 books into my bag :). Picked up some great books too , including three of Jeff Lindsay's "Dexter" series and as-new copies of Harper Lee's (thanks for picking that up, BigTed!) "Go Set a Watchman" and the book "Black Caviar" (about the racehorse, for those who are wondering!).
So if you love books, love a bargain and want to help out a good cause, head on down to the Book Bazaar at 10 Selby St, Shenton Park.
So… the spine and limb foundation wants me to go get a really heavy bag of books … I hope I don't hurt my spine or limbs…
