This course aims to address the gap between seeing and truly understanding photographs by introducing a diversity of ideas, approaches, and technologies that inform their making.
The course is divided into six weeks' worth of content, although you can go at your own pace through the material. Within the course there are six short films, four video conversations, and sixteen audio slideshows that will help you to better understand "what a photograph is and the ways that photography has been used through its nearly 180-year history.
