    Lots of T & C's….main one for me is not for WA :(

  • Might be good to catch this http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_brothers_grimsby/ http://villagecinemas.com.au/movies/grimsby with 3 friends/work colleagues if you're a Sacha Baron Cohen fan. Opens 10th March. The term 'Not valid for movie sessions starting after 5pm on Friday & Saturday' is a bit of a deal breaker though IMO with such a limited time to use.

    what really irks me about Village gold class is that they charge a crazy $5 online booking fee, not per booking but…wait for it……per seat! so if say, you use these 4 vouchers and book a movie online, be prepared to shell out $20 more…no charge if you buy it from the counter although based on the very limited seats in gold class and depending on the popularity of the movie and time slot, you may not be able to get the tickets your need or sit where you want.

    EDIT: I just read the blurb on the website and it looks like these vouchers are only usable at the counter anyway ie. not online?

      Promotional voucher can be redeemed online at villagecinemas.com.au or at the ticket box for movie sessions at participating Village Cinemas locations*

      • ah ok, thanks..was just skim reading and missed that.

      Ridiculous that it's per seat, not per booking.

  • Great deal. Perfect for the family. Thanks.

  • Thanks OP, Grabbed a few. Cheaper than RACV Discount tickets.

    • I've noticed that Racv tickets aren't cheap anymore :( So much so that I signed up for an optus $2 prepaid sim to use optus perks for cheap movie tickets

      • How much are Optus tickets?

          It's only Hoyts not Village though…$11 for adult, $8.50 for kids and $25 for Lux (booking fees inclusive).

    I go to my local readings cinema in Epping ( Melbourne) pay $20 all the time for gold class , 10.00 for normal movies and 12.50 for 3D , these prices are valid all the time

      In Epping?

      Gee I wish I had a stab-proof vest sometimes…

      • +2

        $20 is a great deal but when I factor in the cost of buying a Marauder for the journey it outweighs the saving.

      • You only need that when passing through Reservoir and Thomastown!

        • +5

          And Craigieburn.
          And Broadmeadows.
          And Lalor.
          And Pascoe Vale.
          And Heidelberg.

          @KaptnKaos:
          I think u mean heidelberg west, heidelberg is a premium suburb

          @mlburnian: Trying to sell your house, are you?

        • +1

          @try2bhelpful: They're not wrong though.
          Phluffed: Reservoir is also pretty expensive these days, but can confirm it does have its bad parts..

        • +2

          @KaptnKaos: I lived in Heidelberg West for a year and I had 4 break-ins during that time. Apparently I was one of the lucky ones as the average number of break-in per house was 8-10 per year.

        • +1

          @try2bhelpful: if you are on ozbargain, you probably couldn't afford a place in Heidelberg

        • @mlburnian: Hmmm, maybe I'm just slumming it.

    Good price, and the conditions are perfectly fine for us.
    2 tickets per visit, one visit per fortnight… EASY.

    Being the Devil's advocate though… I still don't know how to value gold class tickets. At $20, yeah, I s'spose. Novelty.
    I don't buy-into the whole wank behind it. It's a small screen, the seats are kinda comfy, very roomy. But even @$20, it's a lot more money.

    With this, it's the perceived value (for me). I'll "organise" for my M&D to go, or something like that.
