Like any good secret the truth always comes out… and this one's a 'banger'. Starting tomorrow at 5pm and running for the whole weekend we're doubling up our first time customer discounts at select restaurants. That means we're giving you up to 50% off when you explore new taste indulgences in your area.

This offer starts at 5PM AEDT on Friday 12.02.2016 and is available throughout all of Saturday 13.02.2016 & Sunday 14.02.2016, until restaurant closing time at 10PM. Click here for full terms and conditions.

    Having calculated the discounts for the restaurants near me, this seems equivalent to the Tuesday specials except slightly worse.

    I've never seen a good deal for a restaurant near me on delivery hero. It would be nice if there was some kind of sitewide coupon rather than having deals apply to selected restaurant (ie delivery hero should pay for it to increase turnover). I don't recall Uber giving a $20 first timer discount to selected drivers haha

        Hate that. The Indian restaurants all have high minimums and some even charge a delivery fee on top. Annoying. Haven't used delivery hero in months since they stopped offering coupons. These deals are always terrible in my area with few restaurants participating.

    When restaurants on this have a minimum, does this take into account the discount?

    E.g. if a restaurant has a $30 minimum, you order $30 of food but the coupon brings it to under the minimum, are you still able to order or does it have to be $30 after discount?

      Yes - correct.
      So MIN SPEND is $30 + $5 Deivery and there is 50% discount on $30 - you pay $15 + $5 = $20. No discount on delivery fees from memory but I could be wrong.

    In confused. In which way is it double discount? It's exactly the same as the regular Tuesday deal for me. Same restaurants offering same discount. Am I missing something?

      Double first timers discount. As you said, it's normally on a Tuesday, not a whole weekend. In fact it's been a while since DH did a deal that went over a weekend!

      Yepp, it's a little swindling on their part. This Tuesday the codes were ridiculously lame for me, while normally they are 40 or 50, they were only 10 or 20% off. So today they are "normal" again as it seems.

    They banned me from their Facebook page for asking if they will bring back the vouchers due to low participation in my area. Pfft. No more delivery hero for me.

    Discount doesn't work/double up… I tried with various stores which I haven't ordered before…

    There seems to be some issues on their FB page… Make sure you review the total amount before paying…

        Confirmed issue happening right now… Put in code, then showing "Issue submitting your order" then it was back to full price.

        Some might have luck… Some might not. Just make sure you check before confirming payment.

    I've talked to their live chat and their voucher system is down ATM. If you want to order you can contact their live support at http://contact.deliveryhero.com.au/ and tell them about the voucher not working and they'll offer a rebate if you pay for the full priced order.

    They said they're working on fixing their systems but no ETA

    "So, I get the notification for 50% off during the Valentines weekend including Friday night. of course I take you guys up on the offer, only to realise when I get my bill that I still paid full price. I just got off the phone from your customer service centre, who claim that there's no such thing and only offered the first time customer discount back to me to the particular restaurant. Great work guys. I've had issues with both you AND Menulog. I'm done with 3rd party ordering services."

    Complete joke. Have had my credit card debited twice after getting a "cannot process credit card" error in the IOS app, yet no confirmation email or text. Waiting forever to get through to their call centre.

      Yeah, the virtual front door is open on Menulog but not DH.
      That backfired for me a few months ago though. Was ordering from my local pizza place which is open every night - showed as closed on DH (nothing to do with vouchers), so I thought "screw them - I'll order it on Menulog!"
      Got a call from Menulog half an hour later saying the restaurant is closed and they will credit me back. (Must have been some emergency or something for them to be closed.) Then had to do another order and was starving by the time it got here!

    site is back. ordered, but it seems like they screwed up the coupon code again. says discounted price during checkout, but looking at my pending credit card payment, the full amount was taken off. live chat on deliveryhero is not helpful either.. been waiting to connect for 10mins..

    I really hope they will add my review as I was really disappointed with my last order. It was more than 30 minutes late and it didn't taste anything like red and yellow curry. Worst Thai I've ever had. I'm just surprised that I added my review on Saturday and it's still not there. I even sent delivery hero an email and got no response. I guess that was my last order from delivery hero…
