  • That's cheap, feels like an error, suppose to be Fitbit Flex instead!!

  • +1

They have been $99 before. Don't think it's an error. This is the main competitor to the Garmin Vivofit 2 which was about $76 at Target last week.

    • Vivofit 2 is better

      • Personally I agree. My wife has one

Based on a few minutes of research I think these are being cleared for a new product, "alta" https://www.fitbit.com/au/alta

    • Are you sure they are being replaced? I thought the Alta was just a new line… it's significantly different to the Charge

  • They are clearance at JB Hi-Fi now. It is likely just a clearance price (beating a competitor).

  • I think they are discontinued - they no longer appear on the FitBit website as a current product. The Alta is about twice the price for similar functionality (ie counts steps, no HRM)

    • yeah

I read alta is replacement for charge and flex but cost double.
Right now, no charge HR replacement from alta line.

Plus they will make more money with replacement bands.

      A leather band is $100.

      Class band = $50

      And get this..
      Metal = $170.

      Ripoff.

      • I am over fitbit as a company to be honest. Miband worked nicely for me and I recently upgraded to the Garmin vivosmart. Misfit is also worth a look.

  • Ordered one.

    • Have u received it? I ordered mine but until now the status still IN PROGRESS! Sounds like i will never receive it! Pls let me know if they sent it to u?

      • +1

        I got it on Monday

        :)

        • Thanks heaps!

  • wasnt fitbit on the news recently about their HR tracker is not being accurate? was that proven?

  • Worth getting this over a garmin vivosmart? I think I like the longer battery life, the app seems to be better, and the always on watch face.

    • +1

I would get the Vivofit 2 instead. All year battery life, adequate features. Though, if you need notifications etc then look into the Vivosmart HR (new version). They fixed quite a few flaws that were present with Vivosmart (non HR).

  • Any deals on the charge HR?
