Hi Rep, thanks for the deals. Just an FYI the HP Microserver Gen G1610T is $29 cheaper using the below ebay deal

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/232784

  • Any deals on ECC RAM for the ML10v2? Thanks.

  • Has anyone had any experience with these somewhat new Seagate nas systems? The internet is pretty bare in regards to real-world reports/reviews of these, plus they only just finished another big promo on these models… which leads me to believe they aren't that popular.

Rep, you may want to confirm which HDDs come with the QNAP Seagate bundles - particularly the $1050 one.

    • Hi, the $1050 TS-453pro bundle comes with seagate 2TB NAS HDD ST2000vn000

FYI, the interface of the old Seagate NAS was not user-friendly, but the new NAS comes with Seagate’s new NAS OS 4 operating system designed specifically for simple and intuitive NAS use, which come preconfigured to save setup time but users can change the configuration through SimpleRAID technology built into the OS.

The Nas Pro come with Dual core 1.70GHz CPU, 2GB DDR RAM Gigabit Ethernet ports designed for power users and small to medium businesses with up to 50 employees.

  • What would you recommend for a always online esxi/kvm server for a homelab?

I currently have a dl380 g5 but the power usage, noise and size are unfavourable :(

    • +1

      I would consider ML 10v2.
Currently I have microserver gen 8 with xeon running on Esxi. but considering the limited space for heat sink options, raid cards etc ML10 is better than micro server. Microserver is rated for 140W and ML10 is 300W

    • Hi there,

we also sell HP ML10V2 with xeon E3-1220v3 CPU, you can contact us for enquiry.

      Regards,
      Sales

      • It would be cheaper to buy the one with the g3240 AND a 1220v3 CPU to drop into it.

      • Waiting for a deal with the E3-1220v3/ E3-1220v2 on the ml10v2/microservers :)

  • oh damn, just when I thought I had decided on the Netgear RN102, not much more for 4 bays in the seagate.

  • Bought the seagate nas pro 6 Bay from you guys a month ago on "sale" for $380 and you guys said it wouldn't get any cheaper feel ripped off now

    • We are actually doing clearance on this model and selling at loss now, which is unexpected when you purchase in a month ago…. and the price you got is already cheapest in the market at that time… I am sorry that you are unhappy with this…

      • -2

At the time it was $5 more expensive then other stores but I bought it from you guys coz I trusted your team guess I shouldn't have

  • Can you do the Qnap TS-651 for $622 like your previous sales?

  • Hi guys,
I just ordered the Seagate nas 4 bay pro, so will give more info once I get it set up.

But I think it is really underated with their new NAS OS4.

Apps list below show it supports plex media server & torrent download files.
And "SimpleRaid" to use a mix HDD sizes when making a RAID span of drives.

    http://www.seagate.com/au/en/services-software/apps/nas-os/n…

I'm going to use this with my intel nuc & kodi box, no transcoding required.

    Cheers
