The bonus with Fiji airlines is that they have a discounted kids fare.

These flights are with a stop over in Nadi

There are flights from MEL for $1,200 but TightArses deal for Qantas is better at $1062
unless you are taking at least 1 kid then fiji option is better as kids tickets are $676.

Fiji are also a Qantas partner, so Qantas Frequent Flyers should be able to earn points and status credits.
