The title should say FHD (full HD) not HD. Specifications say the screen is 1920x1080.

    Nice deal too

lol I remember the days when an entire crowd gathered in some hall to watch a sporting event on a GIANT 32" TV. and I'm not even that old……or … >>> off to have a mid-life crisis.

    31.5" ;)

And represents a $15 saving off their current price…

    • whats the bargain?

  • Will be OK as a TV, can't see this being used as a work monitor (unless you have bad eyes)

If you enjoy stretched pixels and awful contrast then this is the monitor for you.

    • This was reviewed by prad.de and has basically the highest contrast ratio of any monitor currently on the market @ 5990:1 so I have no idea what you are talking about. Do you?

      http://www.prad.de/new/monitore/test/2015/test-samsung-s32e5…

      • I don't read bullshit foreign websites even if the translator works, 5990:1 is not its contrast ratio and that's not even high.
        Go back to Germany.

I will wait for 4K to come down in price

  • I'm seriously considering this, but have concerns with the pixel density.

I'm currently using a 24" monitor (FHD), it felt comfortable when i was sitting about 40cm away from it, but now i have a larger desk and sitting about 80 cm (eye to monitor) away from the monitor. The 24" monitor feels too small now, so I'm considering getting a much larger monitor such as this one. Can anyone provide input on whether or not it's okay at this resolution and distance?

    • 24" is perfect for 1080p monitors. Try getting a $500 1440p monitor.

A screen double the distance away and double the size would give the same viewing angle, so a 48" FHD screen would give you the same pixel density - a 32" FHD screen will give you slightly higher pixel density and smaller viewing angle (although will be an improvement over your 24" at double the distance obviously).

      • Huh, I've never thought about it that way. I'll definitely read more into that, at this price and screen size this monitor seems like a good buy at the moment.

Why don't you move the monitor closer to you…. it's free.

      • But then I'd be wasting all the space behind my monitor… Which would completely defeat the purpose of buying a large table for a larger work space.

    • I'm about the same 80cm distance from my Benq 24" RL2455hm gaming monitor and i'm fine with it but my eyesight is good. But i'm used to smaller monitors.

      • OH&S states you should be able to touch your monitor without stretching to not strain your eyes…or something

  • paid $450 for an acer 20 inch monitor in 2005, not even sure if it was fhd lol…

  • hmm how is the dpi of 1080p over 31.5" ??? i remember my 27" 1080p monitor wasn't that great… shame, nice size monitor but i really think at this size it should be either 1440p or 2160p

    • absolutely garbage.

  • Hoping that Dell will do a sale soon on their 27" UHD.
