SIGMA 24-70mm F2.8 IF EX DG HSM Nikon or Sony Mtn @ DCXPERT eBay $699 Delivered

80

As per title. They currently only have Nikon and Sony mount.

Don't forget about cashreward too!

Not the new Sigma 24-70mm 2.8, but the previous generation.

At $699 (with free Sandisk USB), it's an absolute bargain for a quick 2.8 lens. Local stock. C.R. Kennedy drop ship for DCXPERT. Will bring it down to $630 if you claim TRS on your way out. Others are selling for $800+ and are not local stock.

Can someone please update the address link for me? My work PC is routed via an overseas server, in which OzB does not allow "overseas users" to post ebay deals.

Sony Mount

Check out their other listings too, great bargain for some other goods. ie. Metz flash, Sigma flash.

  • Has conflicting reviews - some good ones but also a disappointing one from Australian PCMAG: http://au.pcmag.com/sigma-24-70mm-f28-if-ex-dg-hsm/981/revieā€¦

    • Not "disappointing" as in it's a bad lens. I have previously owned both the Canon and Sigma 24-70 2.8.

Yes, canon L was better, but at 2.5 times the price.

The Sigma will do fine for most people. No real issue in day to day use.

My only argument is that the Sigma lenses are not weathers sealed.

This is an excellent lens. I bought a Canon mount years ago, probably 7+ years now and it's still working like a champ. At the time I paid around $890 from Michael's in Melbourne because I read somewhere that Sigma and C R Kennedy can do price matching, even with grey imports. I got put through when I called C R Kennedy to a manager and he organised the deal with Michael's directly. At the time, Michael's was selling this lens for around $1200 and they would only lower the price by $100 before the price matching.

Even to this day it is still my everyday lens. As the OP stated, it's super quick, works well even in low light, pictures come out vivid and sharp, and most importantly it's durable and is built to last. I've upgraded my SLR three times already but I never had to upgrade this lens.

So at this price it's definitely a bargain.

  • is this full frame?

  • 2 available. Not a deal.

    • They will prob re-fill once sold?

  • how does it compare to nikon's 2470?

    • Don't have the Nikon considering the Sigma will do what I need, wasn't keen to folk out the money for casual shooting.

Likely to be similar result with Canon 24-70L vs Sigma 24-70. I liked the Canon L better back than as my gears were used alot more and the lens was weather sealed.

The Sigma won't disappoint for $700.
