      I've always turned washer and dryer off at switch. Just very old habit for some reason. Maybe because only use washer once a week

        Mine stopped working when I tried that

        As funny as a house fire is, the issue was with the washing machines while they were being used. Fortunately only affected top loaders. Unfortunately Samsungs appalling treatment of its own customers also applies to their other washing machines should something go wrong.
