If you read the post you would of seen that i have already put the Logitech deal in the description :)
It is a great deal though, still im buying the Logitech Ultimate Ear ones

      • Haha I posted in the duplicate post first and figured it was the same thing in this so copied and pasted it in, oh well!

      • +1

Not only did you mention it in this post, you posted the Logitech deal!

        ilold :)

Whomever can't afford $25 for earphones that reviews assuming a $60-$100 cost are decent-good quality - you have my sympathies.

        • 4 dollars for ear plugs =P

I don't see any mention of a battery. How can they be active noise cancelling earphones if they don't have a power source? Noise reduction maybe, but not noise cancelling. (I have Panasonic noise cancelling earphones. They're very effective too.)

    • An interesting question, actually. Some people might scoff at that question 'cause so many noise cancelling devices have no power source, but the "active" portion does suggest a non-passive reactive filtering, which would require power.

      Ah, marketting-bollocks-speak.

    • It sounds like "noise blocking" rather than noise cancelling…

i wouldnt hold your breath on quality…

    • +10

      I would.

If you breath while wearing them the intereference goes nuts! Hold it, you'll get much better quality.

Hahaha - thats bloody funny!! A plus for your comment!

These are REALLY low quality, muddy sound.
I got these part of the mystery giveaway thing. I wouldn't pay 5c for these.

Yep I got a few pairs off eBay by accident lol. But I did only pay $0.50 and they arrived in my mailbox. Horrible static on one pair in particular.

these have to be worse than the apple stock earbuds…. and those things are horrible

These shouldn't be called 'noise cancelling' if there is no active noise cancelling feature.

These in-ear silicone earbuds have been around for years - I've had my Sony ones for almost 10 years and they're still going strong. However, they are not 'noise cancelling'. They simply attempt to block out other sounds, rather than cancel them. Same as the Logitech ones where their 'isolation' description is more accurate.

    • I think noise cancelling has a double-meaning. You're right that these aren't active noise cancelling, but sadly others have hijacked the term for so-called passive noise cancelling. Seriously on Jetstar flights you can buy a $3 pair of 'noise cancelling' earbuds. At least they're better than this pair though and are probably more like your Sony ones.

Got them today, and they are CRAP!! Sound quality is muffled. Lucky I ordered a pair of those Logitech ultimate ears, but this was a real waste of 4 bucks. :-(

    • Agreed. Pay for what you get. 3 out of 10. My $25 4 yrs old Logitech headset still heaps better. What the heck, the quality is comparable to the ones given by Virgin Blue :).
