It's a $1 booking fee so Telstra is cheaper. Though could line up like a chump, and when it rains George St cinema line is massive
Any true ozbargain would save $1….
I don't line, especially to save 50 cents
I think cinema aren't making much profit these days.
They definitely are. Especially event/bcc
Netflix? Too many people downloading.
What happen to the days where you take your date out to watch a flick?
When I had one …. sniff
@clarky: don't worry. If it wasn't meant to be, then it is for the better :)
I just saw Star Wars in Malaysia, cost AUD $3.50 in a cinema equal to those here in Australia. That is rrp over there. I think that the Australian cinemas must still be doing ok.
I would much rather pay extra so I can live here.
The wages of the Malaysian cinema staff would be far far less then in Australia. Staff and hours are always the first casualties when a cinema isn't doing well.
As far as I can tell, you've misunderstood the email. You unlock $12 tickets if you see a movie on those two days.
Fine print at the bottom of the email:
Promotion Terms & Conditions : This promotion is open to fully registered Cine Buzz Rewards members only. Members must sign in online or scan their membership card at the box office when purchasing a ticket to any session screening between 25 January 2016 and 26 January 2016 (inclusive). Qualifying members will receive an email notifying them that they have qualified on Wednesday 27 January 2016.
$12 Ticket Terms & conditions: Online booking fee applies. Surcharges apply for 3D and Vmax sessions. Valid for use between 28 January 2016 and 10 February 2016. Single redemption only. Not valid for Gold Class or special sessions.
So you have to watch a regular movie to qualify for $12 tickets, but they can only be redeemed for a two week period following that.
Yeah I was gonna say, I'm a cinebuzz member and I couldn't get this deal to activate when browsing tickets while logged in. Was wondering if there was anything special you had to do in order for it to work. So this would make sense. In that case, pretty weak deal on behalf of Event cinemas. You're better off just going on cheap arse tuesday.
Updated!… sorry guys
Time to go see Starwars (again and again and again)
Doesn't that breach the Geneva convention wrt torture ;)
Putting someone to sleep again and again isn't really torture. It's hard to press charges against being bored repeatedly. :-)
$12.50 with no online booking fee for Telstra customers "except public holidays, after 5pm on Saturdays".
