This is a pretty bad price for the 500gb version…
A recent deal for you to compare for the same price: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/228016

    500GB version previously

    • Agree, pretty average price for 500gb.

      • I got a Black 500GB with 3 games and 3 months of Stan for $419 from Target 6 months ago.

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to get a 500GB console for around $389 these days.

  • No games bundled = Average price.

    $429 @ Big W

    • -2

you don't seem to realise that with all those bundled games, there really isn't much of a difference in price at all. All you are doing is paying more money for games some people might not want

      $79.95 for Uncharted
      $30.00 for God of War
$40.00 for Last of Us and i barely spent 2m looking up prices, so yeah, nice deal there sarcasm

      • Nup, you're missing the point.

Previously bundled deals with games for the same price are better value, as games could be traded in for games that you do want (in the example youve given the above games you dont want).

        It's Ozbargain… this is not a bargain.

        • -2

i'm not missing anything, the OP's deal is a standalone ps4, Regie's link to the PS4 from EB is not and the games can be bought just as cheap if you want on their own without having to accept all those games (EB do not allow you to swap games). If this is Ozbargain, shouldn't the deal be for the cheapest price? not the more expensive one as I have established that the bundle from EB is not exactly cheap?

You want to trade games? If you were smart you'd sell them privately, but you aren't going to get much for them as they aren't really going to be desirable games unless you sell them cheaply, which means they aren't worth buying from EB if you don't want them in the first place

Now let's move on to your neg vote, read the guidelines and provide a cheaper price or don't neg vote, if you don't think this is a good price, do what i did and don't vote…

Don't blush baby, just don't miss the point next time k…

          @Tal_Shiar:

          OMG.

You've gone on a wild rant and made yourself look silly :).

I was never supporting the EB deal quoted above you, I was talking about "previously bundled deals with games" (that's what I said verbatim, take a breath and re-read).

In your rant all you've talked about is 'EB does this' and 'EB doesnt do that'. Who cares about EB?!?

If you honestly think that the OP's deal in buying a standalone PS4 for $419 is a good deal, plus vote it and good luck to you.

But when people have been able to pick up a PS4 with games bundle for the same $419 amount, then obviously the OP's deal is NOT a deal (hence the neg, which is within rules).

God I'm so glad there's no edit button after posts are commented on… your comment will remain as an example to people to breath deeply and take care before ranting and being all clever.

132 clicks and 7 plus votes… I believe the nays have it, regardless of your unusual reasoning.

          Who's blushing now :) ?

          @UFO:

You've gone on a wild rant and made yourself look silly :).

          personal attack, reported!!!!!!!!!!!

I was never supporting the EB deal quoted above you, I was talking about "previously bundled deals with games" (that's what I said verbatim, take a breath and re-read).

You replied to me first, what you were or were not supporting is of no interest to me. Re-read again

In your rant all you've talked about is 'EB does this' and 'EB doesnt do that'. Who cares about EB?!?

The link Regie provided was from EB and the "best deal available" in his opinion, do you think everyone who is buying a PS4 wants all those games?

If you honestly think that the OP's deal in buying a standalone PS4 for $419 is a good deal, plus vote it and good luck to you.

Do you see an up vote from me?

But when people have been able to pick up a PS4 with games bundle for the same $419 amount, then obviously the OP's deal is NOT a deal (hence the neg, which is within rules).

          Taken from the guidelines

          Appropriate uses of negative vote
          Cheaper price elsewhere
Mention store or URL and price making sure to include shipping.

While I agree this isn't a particularly good deal, have how many of these neg votes should really stand? Only two and one of them was to a more expensive deal

God I'm so glad there's no edit button after posts are commented on… your comment will remain as an example to people to breath deeply and take care before ranting and being all clever.

Correcting you has only taken a few minutes out of my day i've only made 2 faces at you from my laptop…

132 clicks and 7 plus votes… I believe the nays have it, regardless of your unusual reasoning.

Unusual reasoning? like i said, do you see an up vote from me? I might remind you, you replied to me….

          Who's blushing now :) ?

          not me :)

@Tal_Shiar: Calm down mr formatting lol. You are missing the point anyway as the EB games ps4 is 1tb vs. 500gb to this one.

        • -3

@thedude23: yes the hdd is the deal clincher, even though anyone planning on using it often should replace it with a 2TB drive… golf clap

  • +1

EXCLUSIVEOFFER works taking another $25 off the price to $394. I grabbed it at the link above for $330 but if you needed it today $394 probably isnt too bad.

  • This is not a deal at all. Pretty bad price without any game come with it tbh

  • I hate how they show the console in the picture standing up, but to stand it up like that you need a console stand (that's NOT included).

    • You're right. I used a 3D printer to do the job.

      • +1

What do you do when you need to use the printer then?

  • -3

DSE has set a benchmark and Target is nowhere near it

    • +1

benchmarks mean nothing if you can't buy it at that benchmark…

      • -2

whatever - this is a crap bargain anyway

  • +1

Best was still Kmart at $349……..

  • +1

Would only buy a 1TB for around $400 with a decent game. This is no deal as others have commented on (price Big W $429) the search continues…

  • +1

Okay meh price, but this isnt really ozbargain price worthy.

  • +1

    Lol drama

  • +3

Came to read the post, stayed for the drama :D

  • i think $419 isnt too bad when you relise the RRP is $479.

any idea when there might be some better deals want a 500gb model.
