Neg for a very possibly dodgy company as per previous 'deals'
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/boombeats.com.au
I don't think it warrants a illegal/inappropriate report.
You think 'deals' for this company should be posted on here?
It would come under the guideline of "Major issue with retailer
Didn't receive previous purchase.", no?
i didn't see any people who didn't receive previous purchases on those previous posts. There was one unhappy person sync who neg'ed because he had a bad experience then another one or two that cancelled their orders (and got a refund) based on his post.
That is not enough to eliminate this deal.
Read the Whirlpool thread and educate yourself! No one has received an order!
NOT
Yet you blindly upvote?! And defend it?! How naive can you be?
I was reading the links supplied above. Not the whirlpol ones. But reading the whirlpool thread whilst there are a few who got refunded its a short thread of a few customers.
And by the way why are you such an arse.
Because I'm trying to help viewers of this site to not blindly order from an obviously dodgy company!
If you like, you know you can get a 128gb flash drive for only $8.99 delivered?. That's gotta be a deal worthy of an upvote then surely?
Ahh there you go being an arse again.
@Spackbace: If you truly wanted to do that you might want to reference the whirlpool link. Rather than being aggressive internet troll.
Lol I could be aggressive, this is me holding my tongue.
You challenge those down-voting this deal, yet I'm still trying to find out why you think it's a deal. You didn't even buy from them, you used it to price-match and got the cheaper price!
So why do you think this store is worth buying from?
Hehe @ holding my tongue.
To be honest I wouldn't buy from them personally but it doesn't mean I would hide the deal from other people. Just like it was a good idea for you to post the previous information. Let other people decide if they want to take the risk.
I got my qc25's cheap from office works because this possibly dodgy deal was posted last time. If it wasn't posted I would have paid a lot more because I wouldnt' have had anywhere to match with.
So eliminating these deals stops people getting better deals from other places.
But this is all in the hope that Officeworks will continue to price-beat this website. What's to stop someone creating a fake site, with an ABN, and quoting under-market value prices, in the attempt to do the same thing? But once Officeworks do their homework, ban price-matches from this site, people will turn to the site to purchase from.
Just because a store offers a cheap price which another store is (for now) offering to price-beat, doesn't make it a bargain. And god help anyone that clicks through the deal seeing it on here, without doing their homework.
@Spackbace: Thats why you put your points about it being not great to buy from then someone can make an informed decision.
These guys are dodgy
This will not end well for you OP. As noted previously, these guys are dodgy as f***
http://www.buymac.com.au/bose-headphones/
authorised dealer and pretty good price
Price match (with boombeats) with officeworks online. Thats what i did. Got it for $298 less 5%
how did you price match with OW online? Is that even possible?
OW doesn't price match online. As per the OW website, "^ The Lowest Price Guarantee can only be redeemed in store, by fax or by calling 1300 OFFICE (633 423)"
I call BS on this guy
so what's your point? The guy said he got OW to price beat ONLINE, when clearly that's not possible. what you've linked to is calling in to OW, which I've already indicated, including the phone number, in my post.
@sol95: Same sh*t, different bucket.
I'm sure that's what drunifex meant, don't take what everyone says so literally.
It is possible. I did it and a number of people on this site did it. Perhaps you should read the previous posts before you call me a liar.
@Porthos: if that's what he meant, that's what he should have written.
I did do it.
You call officeworks online number tell them where you saw the cheaper price and their online store will post you the item for the price less 5%
WARNING
NOT COMPATIBLE WITH IPHONE 7
(will use lighting connection for headphone and lose headphone socket)
Apple are actually idiots if this rumour turns out to be true.
lol that can't actually be a real rumour?
Sadly, it's doing the rounds. All in Apple's infinite quest for 'thinner' devices.
I've experienced first hand what this can do when it comes to my iPad Air 2, music/sounds cause the whole damn thing to vibrate. One of the few things I hate about it.
Don't worry they will likely make a $69 adapter though :p.
@hypie: They're always so generous like that haha.
I bought the btunes bluetooth adapter for QC25. Waiting for it to be delivered.
will use lighting connection for headphone and lose headphone socket
One day after the release of iPhone 7 (and the truth about audio jacks disappearing), some genius is going to come up with an adapter to get this to work. At first, it'll be expensive but after a few months this feature will be affordable.
If this happens, I would still buy a (wired) QC25.
Kinda hard to put a warning up for a phone that doesn't exist yet. :)
I agree though its kinda crazy for apple to do this but they will get away with it.
From what I read its because the standard audio plug can't be made waterproof in a size efficient manner so they need to do an adapter instead.
Don't worry the $49 adapter will be available at all authorized dealers on release day followed two day by a chinese rip off that kinda works for $10 on ebay.
Office Works is out of stock. Myers recently had a sale that brought them down to roughly $330. If you go to the Bose Store you can usually get them for roughly $340 if you ask about price matching. (They are worth considering as they will allow a refund if you don't like the earphones).
yeah they come and go. I had to wait about 2.5 weeks for them to turn up again. Bit annoying but its cheap.
It has been a bit longer than 2.5 weeks this time. Who did you get them to price match last time?
the company above.
@drunifex: if you ask them sometimes they will give you an ETA.
@drunifex: When I looked at the Myer deal OW was "out of stock". Will look again next time but my suspicion is OW goes "out of stock" when deals from other companies are too attractive.
@try2bhelpful: I thought that too. But they got it back in stock and matched the price with boombeats no question asked.
@drunifex: I will remember it for when they are back in stock.
Dodgy webstore. They have stock of headphones that have been discontinued back in 2012: http://www.boombeats.com.au/ah-d7000.html
Lucky for me bought mine in US when $ was just under parity.
This is completely doggy website. The other day I used their online chat and when I asked unhappy comments on Internet about the company I got this :
"There are million customers and we can't make everyone happy"
"Bye"
And got disconnected. I would request everyone not to post this again on ozbargain and please do don't put any orders with them.
On other note Bose can not price beat Sydney hifi $338 tag and they offered me $339.15 which is still good but this price is not for triple black (which I wanted). So if anyone interested go and ask to price beat at Bose store.
From the store name alone you should not put too much hope…
