I purchased the Air Duel's last time they were on OzBargain. FYI, there is an error in the instruction manual where it lists the steps to sync the remote and helicopter.
Here is how to pair the remote:

How does the quad force (syma x51) compare to the syma x5c? Can get one of those for $70 off banggood, only $10 more. Hard to find a comparison.
EDIT: it looks like it's an x5c after all but then a bit sturdier. Got one and saved me 10 bucks!

A: We thought so too… but there is something about THIS version that makes it more sturdy than the Syma models. The LED covers don't pop out. The shell is a bit tougher, and the motors don't burn out as quickly. We thought it was an anomaly, but we now have a sample size of more than a dozen quads from Swann and Syma. — Go figure.
i think this is the x5c 1, just look at the transmitter….to use the camera, the button is on the trim area…
the x5c old model, the camera button is on right shoulder button, which is also the flip button…theyre saying you cant do a flip if camera is on….

With the quadforce one, it says 'signal outdoors up to 100ft / 30m'
I've never used one of these before, does anyone if this mean you can only fly it within a 30m radius of yourself? That seems very short.
For something thats under $60 how far do you expect it to fly, 1km?
One of mine ended up down the end of the street…….
Admittedly it only stopped when it crashed into that house.
But yeah, it flew a long way.

As a COMPLETE stab in the dark I would have thought atleast 50m-100m for something that was $160… oh hang on, I get it… they down tune them to $60 worth lol

Apparently there are lots of range mods for the syma x5c where they can go much further. Have a look on YouTube
on the specification pages, the quadforce is much smaller and a little bit heavier than the one with camera. why do you guys not pick the one with camera (it is certainly more expensive, but has a bigger reduction compared to original price).

The camera is crap, but it is worth the extra cost for other reasons.

Interesting to see that their Contact us and also Support pages don't work "404 Page not found". Not a good sign especially if one does need to contact them for support or a return!
