After a while, I figured I might as well crack it apart and found that it was old salvaged parts from a laptop. Each one you buy will have a different drive inside.

I suppose it says Windows 8 compatible because it's an older model that hasn't been tested with Windows 10, but is there a good reason why it wouldn't work with Windows 10?
