Besides the 10% discount from jetstar - there are two other major benefits
- you get to choose a flight time that is most suitable to you
- you get to avoid the credit card processing fees - with tiger these are $12 each person each direction.
That way you can still use your CC for free travel insurance without copping the fees

In regards to choosing a flight time most suitable, I thought the jetstar flight had to leave within an hour of the competition flight to get the 10% off, or something like that?? It has been awhile since I tried (and failed) price matching with Jetstar so hopefully I'm wrong.
This is for all domestic flights and a handful of international flights if I remember correctly. I recently price beat a same day SYD to Bali flight with no issue

The one hour stipulation is for domestic, intra-asia and bewteen Aus/NZ
Between Australia and another country (other than NZ) - it is simply one day.
Often Jetstar might have a sale fare of $100 for a flight that leaves late at night - but $300 for the convenient flight that leaves at midday
As such, if you can get an air asia or tiger deal that might be 23.55 flight for $79 - not only do Jetstar beat it by 10% - you get to choose the convenient midday flight. You aren't just saving off the lowest fare, you save from the most expensive.
Add to that no credit card fees
I've just nailed return flights to bali a few days ago for $160 - given I could use my CC - i got the most ideal times and free travel insurance for booking int'l tickets on my credit card.
This falls over Perth school holidays (9 to 25 April) but best I can find is $79 to Bali on the 15th but no return on special until after school holidays finish.

Did you sign up for le club or accor plus?
I'm a accor plus gold member which reduces cheapest room to $18 per night but le club is $32 a night i think. If you are plus member try to clear your cache and log in through the plus website.

I insist people stick with the company that is offering the better deal here… especially since Jetstar have given me personally about a dozen reasons to dislike them in recent times (4 flights delayed, charged extra fees, helpless customer service, 'accidentally' overcharged for a crappy fee and then not refunded for a month etc etc).
I used to dislike Tiger.. but I think its time to give them a go again.
