Of course it works, make a US account redeem the code and download it. Set your US account to 'Primary' in account settings and then use your AU to play it.
Brought it and downloading as i type, do note you have to have a US PSN account in order to download
Good for nostalgia but I got a shock when watching them on youtube the other day when I almost bought the code, they don't hold up at all.
It's $US13.99 at Boxeddeal.com. I bought it last week and the code didn't work. I've spent 5 days emailing them to sort it out. So I can't in good conscience recommend them. I'm getting to the point where I'm about to do a paypal reversal.
with the latest ps4 update i cant even play my US downloaded games with my AU profile any more i have to log into my US profile on my ps4 to play the US downloaded games which kinda sucks …
You're doing something wrong.
Log into your US account and make sure it's Activated as your Primary PS4 - I think it's under PlayStation Network Settings.
Once you've done that, there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to play on your Aussie account. You shouldn't need to be logged in with your US account either.
I remember Super Return Of the Jedi on Super NES was excruciatingly difficult, the other 2 were lots of fun.
