    • sorry my bad, fixed

  • This ok for Intel NUC?

EDIT: yes I think it does.

Whatst he difference between this and this http://www.msy.com.au/wa/balcatta/memory/12821-kingston-valu…

slightly different model numbers but looks the same.

  • will this work on a Mac (Macbook Pro 2012 or Mac Mini 2012) ?

    • It is not that simple as you have two models within the year, Google Mac Ram and follow the results.

      • Not sure what the down vote is about. 2012 have two versions of the same model, ie a new model was released late 2012, different RAM is used on the two different versions, so yes, the OP will need to look into it as they know what specifics model they own. The Google search results will have pretty pictures to make it nice and easy.

        • -1

its Mid-2012 Macbook Pro (with DVD drive) and Mid-2012 Mac Mini (HDD and RAM replaceable)

    • Yes, it will work - buy 2 so you have matched pairs.

    • I just looked into it and it's perfect for my old Early 2011 MBP 13"
      But I don't think I'll bother upgrading it from 8gb to 16gb.
Wish it would fit in my retina MBP…

  • Amazon checkout shows AUD $51.97, including postage to Australia of $10.53

    • Mine shows 32.88 USD delivered

  • Thanks - got two.

  • Will this work on the hp gen g8 microserver with the stock 2gb ram? i.e it'll show 10gb?running xpenology

    • +1

ahh, this is a SODIMM, for laptops…

      • shouldve read properly, my bad

        • no sweat, hope you're having fun with xpenology! I had it chugging along just fine on 4GB ram running plex, nzbget, transmission, sonarr and couchpotato without any issues

  • +1
  • L at the end - low voltage for laptops, NUCS etc…

  • Excellent price. Now I'll have enough memory to utilise a RAM disk.

  • Great price, I paid ~$75 mid 2015 for this exact module (local stock).

  • I remember I picked up one of these recently at my local store for $58 AUD. IJK

The OP's deal is a good price if you don't mind waiting and RAM usually don't have many warranty issues except DOA, but that would mean shipping it back at your own cost.

  • tried ordering 2 units - total price including delivery to parcel point is $117.

similar price to MSY, so going to go pick it up instead.

  • Did it just expire? How cheeky MSY changed their price as quick as it expired or I am missing something?

how about his 16gb for $55, would this work on an nuc?

    • Check the max RAM of your NUC, mine only takes up to 8GB.

    • hmm its not ddr3l , mean no low voltage so not supported by nuc

      • Yeah, low voltage needed. Also don't NUCs have only one slot or were you thinking of using the other SODIMM elsewhere?

        • nuc's have 2 ram slots. I am using i3 and i5 models, it supports 2 x 8gb. I am not sure about celerone or pentium models

        • @dreamzz: My Pentium NUC has only one slot but 8GB is plenty for me.

  • Can these be used for gaming??

    • If you have an Alienware Alpha, yes?

  • Any idea if this RAM is the right type to upgrade this:
