    For some reason that code gives only 9% off whereas expedia's gives the full 10%. Expedia has better cash rewards too.

      you won't get cashrewards for coupon not listed on cashrewards website. this has happened many times. you will get tracking receipt but after waiting for months your cashback gets rejected.

      I think that Hotels.com only applies the discount to the base price, excluding taxes etc.

        But if you discount the base price, then the tax should be 10% on top of this reduced rate, effectively making the whole thing 10% cheaper.
        They aren't paying 10% GST on the original price.

        Realistically, hotels.com discount is only (exactly) 9%.

        @xsacha: Crickey you could be right. But I didn't think of the tax as being gst. I was thinking that it was one of those mysterious taxes they seem to be able add onto hotel bookings.

        the tax is relevant to whatever country the hotel is in you're booking

  Nope! All u have to do is enter the promo code at checkout… There is a hsbc one that is exactly the same.

  Just remember it wont work on the bigger chains like the hilton etc

  venere.com is giving a better deal 15% disc and the base price is same as or can be lower than expedia for some. Also venere.com is owned by expedia just like wotif.
