My electric stove and a lot of other stoves don't get to the same temperature.
Because of that, they don't cook the food effectively. Instead of searing heat that keeps everything crisp and liquids boiling off quickly, lower temperatures tend to broil the food. Your vegetables will be dull in colour, not crisp to bite into. Your meat will dry out with all the juices just sitting in the wok. Bubbling away.
Gas with big wok burners are better, hotter is better when cooking with a wok.
I used the breville last night and I wasn't disappointed, though I hoped for a bit more heat. It was a lot better than wok in electronic stove though.
My stir fry came out nicely cooked and due to it not being as hot as I'd like, it didn't need lots of attention to make sure things didn't burn.Alright cool, thank you
Quick question, why would someone buy one of these when they can just use a wok on the stove ?
