The description is straightforward and practical, I like it.

Russell Crowe wouldn't be happy with the description though.

  • Approved and certified to meet all state and federal compliance requirements as at December 2015

    Great

    • aren't these illegal in NSW?

      • +3

Roads and footpaths, yes. On your bed, no.

    • except the compliance requirements really only look at the charger and not the battery so this isnt really any different to the other million rebranded OEM devices

so glad this isnt called 'hoverboard'

  • +4

Yeah still not worth $700 for a $300 board with a different badge

    • But the name sounds German…

    • Buzzfeed's hoverboard story describes two different Shenzen factories that make hoverboards for Kaiser Baas.

…Boxes stamped “Kaiser Baas,” an Australian distributor that markets Gaoke’s boards as “Revo Gliders,” lay neatly stacked next to finished boards wrapped in loose plastic and stored vertically, sorted by color.

…Behind her were stacked cardboard boxes labeled “Kaiser Baas,” the same boxes that had been at Gaoke. Perhaps Kaiser Baas buys boards from both factories.

"Do not ride your Revo Glider on the road, footpath or cycle path" …

Then where the f*%K are they meant to be used?

This bugs me, as the slogan says "Start a personal transport revolution". Where are you being transported to and from? Ugh.

    /rant

Oh, and "travelling around large properties … without a step" isn't worth $700 to people, is it? hmm

    • OK in Queensland.. see people with them in Brisbane CBD (Queen St mall) all the time.

      • I may be wrong, but I thought the QLD laws differed to other states when it came to this class of vehicle.

        • People using in QLD CBD are breaking the law.
They are permitted on bike paths and in parks etc, not on main roads, footpaths and the like.

If you go on one you''l be transported to the nearest hospital when come off it and fall on your face at 20 klm an hour.

      • +3

But I won't be near any roads or pathways, so how will the ambulance reach me on my large property? The stress!

I use mine going through Woolworths to pick up groceries.

    • Only use I could think of with those conditions is as a medical device to assist the love life of men who have just undergone some sort of spinal/hip procedure….1 use only id be guessing cause theyd have grapefruit sized ankles at the end of it all…

    • You can ride around in supermarkets like this guy: https://www.facebook.com/shoplifting.videos/

    Rich people toys

    • Nah these are for us poor people. Rich people are rocking golden segways in downtown dubai

But them seggys wont look as cool blowing flames out the back like the chariot in the hunger games after a nuclear meltdown post charging

  • If they shut down Sydney city from vehicle access they might give everyone a glider to get around faster than on foot!

  • I wonder where is this made in? I thought it has been banned?

  • How can this possibly be worth more than the $399 one at Toys R Us? http://www.toysrus.com.au/electric-balance-scooter-black_100…

With the 20% off sale it was even cheaper: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/220500
