  • WOW! Killer price. Wish I had some money left at my Uni fund… :(

Decent price, but I wouldn't bother with this - you're better off getting DDR3-1600 locally for around the same price (or go with the MSY option babo linked to). Most people won't see any significant performance difference between 1600MHz and 1866MHz, and I'd hate to have this fail on me outside Newegg's shoddy 15 day return period.

  • Does Newegg ever ship to Australia? Never knew it.

    • The postage is expensive though. The prices of parts are usually cheaper in the State's but the postage usually kills it.

Nice price if the postage were free but I'd rather pickup this kit from a local store in case it's DOA or faulty.

        OP said price included shipping.

They've been shipping to Australia for about 3 months now. The cost of shipping is ridiculously high though and ruins a lot of the bargains.

They are also quite dodgy in their currency conversions adding an extra 1-3% to the exchange rate. I was looking at a GPU and their USD converted price was $910. Switch their site to AUD and it's showing $937. I've seen this on quite a few items.

Some of their prices are slightly better than what you'd find locally but IMHO I'd pay the extra 1-3% ($10-$50) and buy locally as it's much easier to return things then if anything goes wrong.

  • This is good too: http://www.newegg.com/global/au/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8…

Best price on c9 1866 locally is >$300

    • Shows how things are cheaper when grey imported even with the lower Australian dollar. Local prices can be a ripoff no way a 10% GST can make up for the price difference.
