My problem is how to explain to all my family and friends (hopefully not workmates) that I've disappeared for a few months. That's my problem.

    • just dont, grab the game and enjoy

  • anyone know if Target have collectors ed?

    • i doubt it, since the catelogue had only standard edition listed
and also target being target i doubt they sell their name to be games orientated

  • My problem is I'm not a nerd so can't like FF.

    lol

nah seriously I never have enjoyed turn based rpg, I prefer the stuff Bioware churn out

I don't get any RPGs, I guess when you don't have time to play games for days on end you want action not slow storylines. Qeue Bad Company 2 ;)

btw does the story line continue from game to game?

      • AFAIK this isn't turn based?

        • AFAIK they have always been turn based with the exception of crisis core

          • @[Deactivated]: I'm pretty sure its still turn based, however its not old school FF turn based. It is a hybrid of real time + turn based.

Basically you can setup different strategies and stuff and run around on the battle field. Different to old school FF which is sit there and press a menu to do things for ya.

      • It is a different story set in a different world in each game :) so you don't need to play previous games. Though you will understand the in-game mechanics better if you have played a FF game before but they explain everything anyway!

  • Like this as it mean jbhifi will drop their price ;D

  • If only the PS3 console were cheaper.. I'd buy this lol.

    • Same here. I just can't justify buying a whole console just for this game.

      • Then buy a 360…

  • Awesome, was checking local sites to see the best price for FFXII. Is the collector's edition on sale as well?

  • Aussiergamer has FFXIII for $77 Delivered.

    • The OLFC rating is part of the description but the image cover shows UK rating. Anyone who can vouch for this site?

    • that's xbox btw, not ps3

      • Search the site dude. The PS3 one is a dollar cheaper at $76. But I have no experience with this site. Found it on Whirlpool forums… Does anyone know about Aussiesgamer.com.au?

Aussie gamer games are all imports.

    • Oh cool. That would make the Target deal better … higher trade value.

    • ^ Seconding this.

    • for twenty bucks i wouldnt mind getting it here on the 9th of march instead of waiting for it to be delivered after the 12th and then wait two weeks ontop of that.

  • why is it called final fantasy if they keep having more fantasies

  • Good deal! I just pre-ordered it at JB for $99. Hopefully I can get my $10 deposit back, or at least get them to price match it.

  • lol final fantasy is going to be on xbox? really? i guess I shouldn't be surprised (i played ff7 on pc after all) but wow, never thought they'd go to XBOX…

will be a big financial hit for ps3, what with xbox 360's being sp easy to hack…

  • Ima gonna wait and see if eb has a 360 bundle like the did when ff came out on psp.

  • Can someone post the differences between the collectors edition and the normal version?

  • why is it called final fantasy if they keep having more fantasies

    ROFL!

  • anyone going to the midnight launch tonight at JB sydney cbd ? i wanna price match it with this or DSE. Which one has a better chance for jb to price match?
