    SA & WA are both selling at $69

    • Yeah SA gets ripped, I noticed a Micke desk selling for $39 in NSW (on sale, down from $129), it was $79 here.

  • Not that deep but looks like a good size to fit in my wardrobe.

    • Its pretty deep. I have two in my walk in wardrobe

      • I want to replace this which I didn't think was very deep.

        • lol,it is what we wanted to buy, but fortunately we changed the minds.

    Unless they have improved on the construction of these, they are very poor quality. The bases in the drawers is only about 4mm mdf sheeting that eventually sags if you put too much weight in them. But what do expect for the price.

      The trick is to drop by bunnings on the way home and buy a packet of screws and a handful of those short (circa 1m) pieces of 40mm x 15mm dressed pine, and screw the pieces of dressed pine across the bottom of each drawer and into other strategic locations where extra strength will be needed.

      • Yes I thought of something similar to this too. My idea is a vertical drawer divider in the middle, front to back, then you can put screws in from underneath to strengthen the base. Not sure why they haven't thought of something like this themselves.

        • That'd cost them an extra thirty cents to make, so they'd have to charge an extra thirty dollars… and the punters wouldn't go for that!

      The rails are rather poor quality too. Guaranteed to fall apart if used by children.

      The Malm drawers are a bit better, and the minimum if you want a chance of it lasting.

      Normal price and not a bargain. Avoid.

      • Aren't the Malm drawers exactly the same construction as these.

        • Similar, but at least they don't use those flimsy ball-bearing slides. And drawers can be removed.

          Or just look for better ones such as PAX on gumtree.

    This 3 drawer Kullen were $39 on boxing day. Also, the 5-drawer was $49.

  • Also, these have had a recall of type. You NEED to bolt these to the wall if you have kids. At least one child has been killed already. So they recalled them to give you a bracket to screw to the wall.

    *At least it looks identical, but with all the odd names I can't remember.

    • these ones are only 72 cm tall.

      And Ikea have been supplying wall-straps or brackets for a very long time.

        These are slightly different and only 78cm tall. Not a huge difference and was only 5 months ago.

          There is no recall. just "customers who had misplaced the tip-over restraints could collect a replacement kit at their local store.".

          @manic:
          Regardless of if it was an official 'recall' or not, two children died because of their design… which is the main point. Not whether they officially called it a recall.

          @DAN13L:
          What exactly is your point? That heavy furniture falling on your head can be detrimental? That toddlers are more vulnerable?
          Lots more children died. Many more will die. Everybody dies. Its nothing specific to this piece of furniture.
          TV sets on top of cabinets used to be a common cause. All chest of drawers and shelf units have this problem. I'm surprised you were not aware.
          The main problem is that people are stupid. Too stupid to even read the instructions and follow them.
          We need a recall issued on people. Or ban gravity.

    These are crap quality. Go for the Malm series if buying from ikea.

    • Aren't the Malm series exactly the same construction as these?

      • No Malm is more sturdy.

    I think the Malm have a metal bracket thst goes along the bottom to prevent the sag
