I have a Western Digital 750gb already but may be wanting to try a new brand, could I copy over all the stuff from that external HD over to this or am I better sticking with Western Digital…

  I was actually thinking of getting either Western Digital Elements or Toshiba Canvio, but after investigating further, both of them have a SATA connection that is soldered to a USB interface. In the end, I decided to get the Seagate Expansion because the drive can be removed and used in another device or enclousure.

This is great. I price matched one of these today at The Good Guys, cracked it open and put it in the PS4. May even get another one for a laptop upgrade soon.
