JB Hi-Fi Sennheiser RS185 Wireless Headphone System $419.96

80

I am looking for a solution to enjoy my TV and Movies after put kids on bed, and without interrupting neighbors. Sennheiser RS185 & RS175 seems pretty good choice.

I've been following on camelcamelcamel.com for the price range, pretty low prize on Amazon at the moment, but it doesn't ship to Australia unfortunately.

Then I saw this from JB Hi-Fi, acceptable price with local warranty.

I added an additional cross-pairing Headphone RS175 from http://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Headphones/Wireless/59102… with member discount $187 + $13 shipping

  • Worth noting that they're having a 30% off all sennheiser headphones. And Sennheiser is offering a cashback for their Urbanite range.

    For example,

  • Seems a wrong decision add HDR175, I properly will change RS175 instead, money saved.:P

I have the RS170 with an additional set.. very happy with them for watching tv.

    • For just tv you might also consider the rs120.

I just let my neighbours have it with my subwoofer. It's fine, they let me have their dog's barking all day so I figure it's only fair :p

My neighbor’s 3 favorite films of all time:

      3.) “10,000,000 Explosions”
2.) “Army Guys Yelling At Each Other”
      1.) “Subwoofer:The Movie”

        Could be worse.

I get to enjoy the sweet tunes of Chinese Satellite TV Dramas cranked to maximum volume on extremely cheap speakers that sound like the drivers are made of Doritos bags.

The reverb sounds like the winds of another dimension have been unleashed in their living room; but an alternate dimension of modern-day China though, as once in a while, you can actually hear some Chinese dialogue. It's as if the actors are speaking to each other through the Large Hadron Collidor's tunnels.

    • What if they call the police?

So this is $620 for 2 pairs of headphones.
Is there a more affordable way to obtain a dual wireless headphone setup?

You bet! You should be able to find these for about $99 in store though.

They are an rf system also and I just got a set of sch5200's and I'm very happy with them. Super light and the sound is decent enough.

Paying the $409 for a set of wireless cans just to watch TV is crazy. If some one is really keen on a decent set i recommend these:

      http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/TOP-Value-NEW-Sennheiser-RS-160-Dig…

They are digital and offer better sound than rf which will suffer from a bit of interference. I use the rs 160's daily…got them a while back and work awesome! Also you can pair up to four headsets to one receiver.

      • Thanks for the tips guys.
        I have 1 set of rs120.
Does the rs160 and other models use the same RF frequency range? So, mix and match?

        • Won't work. 120 is rf and 160 is digital which uses the ghz to xfr audio.

      Buy this http://www.telme2.com/webshop/index.php?id_product=16&contro…

Plus two pair of aptx bluetooth headphones.

      • If you have two connected, they still do aptx?

        • I don't know you'll have to contact the manufacturer and hope that they're honest.
