DVD Player with USB/DivX/Games Support from CatchOfTheDay

11

For under $50, i think this is a good catch, a DVD player + USB (SD Card) which can playback Divx (a 4.5GB DVD movie is about 500MB on Divx with same quality, easily fits on USB drive).

But another good thing is it comes with a joystick and supports Nintedo old format games (like alladin), they give 300 such games on CD.

I ordered one today with paypal coupon posted here earlier: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/2235

You can probably get DivX-enabled DVD player for cheaper, but not with the original Nintendo emulator. Also did you say that they are including 300 games on a CD? (Just noticed that CotD also included the link to the ROM download site).

    Hmm…

    • From the specs:

-Entertain your mates with built in support for .Nes games, CD with 300 games included, or download your own (see download link at "specs" section), read them from USB/SD as well as CD!

Btw, i just noticed ordering via money back would be great, but i missed that. Anyway, I hope the 100$ goodies they say contain any thing useful.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this but this is a dodgy product. I received one and it was very noisy and the games controler did not work. Returned to them for exchange and received a used one, disc totally scratched and missing the controler and instruction book. Going through consumer affairs now to try to get my money back.

If this post is against the rules please feel free to remove it.

No problem. Your issue seems to be towards both this product and CotD? I have no problem with CotD (yet), but it might be useful for others who are thinking of buying from them.

  • Cheers Scotty.

  • It looks way dodgy. Someone has said it IS dodgy. And the service/support complaints continue. How much longer is CoTD going to be mentioned on here? My advice: CoTD = AVOID!
